For my twopenneth we’re all being conned regarding the fakeover but only time will tell, manager/coach wise, we’re in bloody League One which is a footballing backwater, we’re hardly likely to attract anything above a lower league plodder, again I await developments but with no great hopes.
I've posted very little mate tbh, just tried to keep people cheerful and optimistic. I believed this was all sorted in July and told close mates, so the last few months have been a nightmare ... ... I thought FPP would still be involved as I was told Fuhrman wasn't unwilling to talk to Sartori. I hoped FPP would still be involved but it looks like they just wanted their money back if Donald stayed. Hopefully we can all soon get back to just be bunch of people cheering on their team, and club.
A test for my "source" ;-) who told me only Johnson and Cowley have been interviewed so far. He tells me this is the team tomorrow; Burge, Mclaughlin, Wright, Flanagan, Hume, Power, Scowen, leadbitter, Maguire, Grigg, Embleton 4-3-3. Hes not wrong so far to be fair to him
poyet was a such quick interview and an even more quicker refusal by him then I’m thinking it’s gonna be someone that we’ve not heard about, I’m hoping that the timescale has gone from appointing either cowley or Johnson
Sometimes it's just a case of the right fit. The Wolves fella had been sacked by Porto, won nowt in management and was a goalie. Now he's right up there and could go on to manage one of the top clubs.
Is there any evidence that Pearson is interested? This is coming from everyone except Pearson it seems.
he's far too arrogant to publicly say he wants it himself in case he doesn't get it. his stock would drop massively. his arrogance is why I think he's right by the way, so not a dig at him
Really hope Scowen is a bit further back. He is way more influential playing there rather than an attacking mifielder
My choice for manager in order: Big Sam, Pearson, Cowelys. Having said that I’m glad I don’t have to do the selecting. I’d imagine if the owners are going for the continental system they’d want somebody with experience working that way, but who also has knowledge of English football. Any names spring to mind? We just have to trust them to get it right. They’ll be advised by people with deep knowledge of the game. But it’s fun, isn’t it?
my reading of that is he's saying he's favourite with the bookies because he's favourite with the decision makers. don't think there's more to it than that. I'd say tho that the longer it goes on, the more it feels someone has reservations - either us or him. Unless Pearson has suddenly jumped in which would be my first choice. Alternatively it's all agreed and signed and not announced yet until something else is announced with it. After all, if that team somebody just posted is right, then its a move away from 3 CBs and would suggest a directional change.
