Might be a bit early, but here's a game to try some players out, and look to find the answers to why we can't defend well and attack well in the same game. It's all about joining up in the middle which we couldn't do against Spurs.
    So

    Mendy
    James Zouma Rudiger Chilwell
    Kante
    Mount Havertz
    Ziyech Werner Pulisic.
Apart from Silva who can't play 3 games a week, I think this is our absolute best team.especially if Frank says "go for it".
Dave , CHO, Kova, Tomori, Giroud, can all come on as subs.
No Jorginho, no Tammy Abraham please, just potentially our best 11 and let's see what they can do.

CHO will play according to the website, "Ze Slug" looks like he will start, so we will lose this game unless someone pulls a rabbit out of a bag and we Knick it. Pulisic looks best to do the magician role. Seriously now, Giroud deserves a start, yes rest Silva keep Zouma he is playing great and get Tomoroi back in Dave will probably replace James and I hope Emerson comes in. Midfield has to be Kante Havertz Mount Ziyech and Werner or Pulisic with the French dude up top. That line up will scare anyone, even me. Looking forward to this one shackles are off and let the lads play.

Unsure about our midfield of Jorg Kova and Havertz

maybe too much technique over work rate?

    we look dangerous on break

Very impressive. Giroud excellent. Whole team was solid throughout. With Billy back from injury now, we have an embarrassment of talent available. You could say what's not to like, but actually there is one thing that puzzles me.... Kai Havertz's performances ! Of all the new signings he really hasn't got going yet. If he can get his Bundesliga form going then we really have some squad on our hands !!!

Frank ignored my team suggestions and yours too, and bugger me, his team were terrific.
Giroud was just perfect all game, Kovacic ran like a demon, CHO was always lively, and Pulisic a bit rusty.
For the first time in zonks, Jorginho looked like part of the team, everything forwards, looking for runners, so well done him. Havertz' run for the 1st goal was brilliant and he looked composed calm and available, good showing. I thought Emerson was really good as well, Mendy as usual, unflappable, Defence all solid enough and looking to get forward. Best team performance so far I think, and all the "fringe "players excelled. Great win and great work from everyone. Our depth is looking mighty impressive now as everyone gets some gametime.

You are right, but when he gets going he should give us the midfield goals we have missed since Sir Frank Lampard

Jorg was the link between defence and attack we missed v Spurs. But Europe suits him better than Prem and Spurs game may not have suited him

His long forward passing is excellent, I wish he would go long to Werner and co more often and take more chances

I think it was attitude. Spurs was such an important game to both teams, they played cagey and conservative most of the game. Werner though did miss a couple of shots he'd usually put away.
What we did see against Seville is just how dangerous we can be IF we really go for it. Hope we see the same attitude in the PL sooner than later.

I just think if we had been as clinical as against Sevilla we’d have beaten the spuds with the chances we had.
