<laugh> I thought that. He makes it sound as if they're so sick of all the opposition fans celebrating all the time that they felt compelled to move them!

My thoughts entirely, maybe they should concentrate on not shipping goals at home if away fans celebrating is such an issue. These lads WUM themselves these days don't they?

It makes sense to move fans though. I'm quite glad we stick the away fans up in the rafters as it makes it a lot harder for them to heard and they can't really get behind their team. The only problem is when they start chucking stuff onto the fans below, i.e. 'Boro fans when they were 2 - 0 down in the Championship.

This is great news. The championship clubs like doncaster and bristol and posh don't bring more than 500 supporters, they will look lost behind the goal next season when you play them.

I think by saying 'we won't see you celebrating any more' he means on TV from the pub

Man U fans were the worst, had couple of glass bottles come down. Plenty of 2p coins from the mackems tho.

Having them there spoils the atmosphere tho imo, they should be shoved in the corner and the singing section brought back and put where the away fans are now.

If your team was any ****ing good you wouldn't see opposing fans celebrating anyway.

I know through bitter experience that ramarks such as this have a nasty habit of back-firing.

At first I thought that they might be doing this for safety reasons and keeping rival fans further apart.

Then I realised that this couldn't be the case because whilst the away fans watch the game from behind the goal, the home fans watch it from the pub.
