And then of course the odds get slashed in half if you don't get in for that game. And on and on until all ST holders have got in to see a game. And of course, there's always the chance we get moved into Tier 1 at some point.
They've said around 10,000 have opted in and are eligible. Of course those living in Tier 3 areas are out regardless of whether they opted in or not.
At some point before the end of the season the numbers of those certified as vaccinated will surely mean the numbers allowed in will rise, if not to capacity, at least way beyond 4,000.
Well this is upsetting and OTT.dont particularly want to sit there with a mask on for 90 minutes. I was fully expecting to need to in concourse etc, but watching the game? **** that. Hope I dont get chosen now.
Depends if you go to watch your team or for the crowd. It’s better with more (usually) but I’d go if it was just me* as I’d want to watch the team. * I’d probably still manage to have a row
Maybe I'm just feeling low at the moment in general but even if it was full capacity again I still dont feel the urge or feel the compulsion to go and watch a football match at any level.
Well, this will minimise the effects of people shouting, which of course people will do. It’s a very sensible thing to insist upon, as even sitting 16 seats away from someone else you could still infect them by shouting at the ref! Not OTT in the least.
I can't work out if your post is serious or not. Not Ott? It's absolute crap. My kids can go to school and mix with other mucky brats then come home potentially carrying the virus. I can also sit in a pub at my table mask free. But in the open air of a stadium we have to wear masks.....sorry that's poor. With a sensible seating plan a mask wouldn't be needed until you leave your seats. Don't rush us back, wait for the vaccine and I'll see you next season.
Ah come on. Don’t tell me you haven’t missed standing in the freezing cold watching us get humped by a newly promoted side...
I was perfectly serious. It’s been shown that respiratory aerosols travel up to 30 times further if you shout or sing,, which most people will do while watching football, than if you’re just talking normally. It doesn’t matter if you’re indoors or outside, although I suppose if there was a high wind it would reduce the risk a lot. As I said above, that means that anyone who was positive could easily infect someone else a couple of rows and 15 or 16 seats away. I agree with you about schoolchildren by the way, I’m not sure how that’s justified. But the worst thing that could possibly happen is for the R number to go up again while we’re on the verge of rolling out the vaccine. The most important thing right now is defeating this bastard virus, so forgive me if I have little sympathy for anyone not wishing to take perfectly reasonable precautions to watch a football match without endangering others.
