http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2045216/Arsenals-Denilson-return-early.html Denilson is set to return from loan early after falling out with his new club. His first 3 appearances were marked with two red cards. Awesome news guys. Just what we needed in midfield. Bleagh.
His ball retention skills could come in handy, I can see what he gives to the team but .. I don't want him back. I want to see a big enforcer in the middle who has a bit of technique.
Oddly I'd not mind him returning. Thought he was a bit of a fall guy for last seasons poor form. God knows we can't blame him for this ****-tip of a season! For me he's been a solid if unremarkable player and, considering the strength of our squad, needed. Now to get Eboue back...
I agree Eboue should have ben retained but here's some food for thought my friends. When Denilson was drawing his paycheque with us we always finished within the Top 4. in his absence we have fallen all the way to 17th. Perhaps I should scrap this post
ah- but when we were in the top4, we probably had Cesc, Nasri, Clichy, Ade, Thierry, Pires, Vieira, Bergkamp ......
I think it's fair to say he's not much worse than some of the other players we have fielded at times this year and no harm in having extra numbers, he may come back with a different attitude having realised no one else wants him, it's now or never for him to become the top player he views himself as. He will be welcomed back as will all players in the shirt but I expect to see 100% commitment from him as this was not always the case at times previous.
Not sure what to do, laugh or cry. I guess he will add some experience and depth to our paper thin squad. The problem is, we have quite a few players playing in his position right now - Song, Frimpong and Coquelin. Does Denilson really bring anything new to our squad and will he give it more stability? I don't really know.....
I haven't seen too much of him, so ignore me if I'm wrong, but: He seems to have a very decent shot on him. He could be played as a more attacking midfielder as opposed to a DM, assuming his passing is up to standard too.
He isn't a Defensive Midfielder. He'd play more in the Ramsey or Arteta roles. I'd prefer Rosicky to be played, he's looked OK on his appearances this season. There's Benayoun who can do a job in the middle too. I doubt there's any substance to this, especially as the Brazilian club are currently forking out for his reported 60ish k/wk wages. That's money Arsenal don't want to spend.
