It's a purely political move to foment as much dissent within the Tory Party as possible. The right wingers want profits to continue to be made even if it means a couple of million dead old timers.
Total bollocks, it's not a game for them to play it's a serious thing for the country, you know, that thing they wan't to rule over/look after.
The Tories can own their ****show. Just like Brexit. If they vote for it, they're supporting the ****s in charge If they vote against it, the people like peter will treat it as a victory vs Labour (they don't care about the deaths, etc...) They're in opposition vs a majority of 80. Wtf do you want them to do? Vote with the loopy ****s like Redwood? Or join in with the BoJo ****show?
Pure bullshit. Do you honestly think people like Gove give a **** about people like you? (Please say yes)
Make a statement ... Either back it or oppose it and com up with an alternative. Yes, they won’t get to implement it but show people there is an alternative to the current ****show . There is a growing resentment to lockdown etc . Stand up and be counted , give us an alternative to think about . Alex Salmond is a ****er , ex first minister of Scotland , but he’s attacking the leader of his party right now and giving an alternative to the snp Uber lockdown. He won’t implement, it will make him unpopular in the snp and their cult , but it’s getting people thinking about what could be ... Having no opinion / not vocalising your opinion is worse than backing it imo. Its a cop out ... dodge blame .
I explained the situation to Ciaran. It's not Starmer's job to solve this ****show, if they vote for it they're part of it, if they vote against it then they're on the side of the ****iest Tories in the party. It's a lose-lose scenario. Starmer said he won't support the Government until they sort their **** out. Seems fair to me.
It’s a cop out imo. They are not being asked to solve it as they can’t but If they offered an alternative it would probably boost their rating with the electorate. Show us critical thinking ... Abstaining just makes them look like they have no alternative ideas or plans it’s not a good look for an opposition imo Those tories opposing it are showing more balls than starmet
Yes didn’t go far enough he opposes the government action but says we still need to control the virus how ? What is the alternative in his parties opinion ? I would want to hear that and how he would propose stopping thousands losing their jobs ?
If Labour actually have an informed opinion on alternatives , how they see it playing out , what they would do differently, how they would save jobs etc then it might open more people’s eyes up to the government’s incompetence and corruption. I want a strong Labour Party but right now , I don’t see them being that strong alternative . the opposition parties need to do that ... show they are the opposition. Right now they are just meekly going along whilst making some noises that the government are wrong . Don’t tell me it’s wrong ,’give me an alternative to think about / provide a solution to the incorrect answer
Been saying it for years, we have no credible Opposition. I don't get folk like Archers or Toby who support Labour no matter what. They are political parties, not football teams. Starmer could have made serious headway into Boris' omni-shambles but rather than propose an alternative, Starmer wants harsher restrictions, more loss of freedoms and more State control. This has been a massive waste of time and money and our political class are governed by shadowy ****er nerds in the shadows and likes from lefty poofters on Twitter.
The vote won by 213 votes Labour have 200 mps a Labour vote against would have hit a blow to bojo and his plans
Labour are a ****ing shambles and have been for years. The Tories are ****ing abysmal and yet Labour just stumble through unending own goals.
