Good Morning. It's Wednesday 2nd December, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road. Ballot to decide which Leeds fans return to Elland Road first Leeds United have issued a statement on their website informing fans how they plan to decide which fans should take precedent once the Government decides that restricted numbers are allowed back. Unfortunately, Leeds fans are not happy and have taken to social media to express their displeasure! According to Leedsunited.com:- We can confirm an allocation of tickets will be reserved for 2020/21 Members for each home league fixture where fans can return at a reduced capacity. The size of the allocation will be dependent on the capacity available. All 2020/21 Members will be included in a ballot to gain access to these tickets. Thank you for your continued patience and understanding. The club have also compensated members for the reduced access to tickets on top of receiving an exclusive gift pack which will be dispatched in the coming weeks, Leeds United ‘My Leeds’ Members* will also be entitled to the following: Adults: £20 retail e-gift voucher Juniors: £10 retail e-gift voucher please log in to view this image Gotts starting to make in roads at Sincil Bank Stadium Leeds highly rated academy prospect Robbie Gotts is finally delivering on the pitch for Lincoln City. Gotts will be aware that at 21yo, he'll be expected to be playing lower league football week in, week out as well as catching the eye of gaffer Michael Appleton. Recently, the versatile midfielder earned himself the man-of-the-match trophy in an EFL Trophy win over Manchester City’s Under-23 side; though this may have had something to do with hundreds of Leeds fans hijacking an online poll. Gotts broke into the starting eleven against Swindon Town (with Jordan Stevens playing for Swindon). Gotts played at right back, and helped Lincoln win 1-0! Last weekend, despite a 2-0 FA Cup loss to Plymouth, Gotts earned a second MOTM award, this time in midfield. Gotts has 18 months on his contract. Let's hope he continuous to impress! It has not been an easy season so far for many of Leeds’ loanees. Alfie McCalmont is struggling to establish himself at Oldham Athletic, Ryan Edmondson has scored just twice in 11 games for Aberdeen and Real Oviedo are hoping to convince Leeds United to cancel Rafa Mujica’s loan spell. Although not pulling up any trees, Jordan Stevens has ten appearances under his belt for John Sheridan's Swindon Town! There's better news for Bryce Hosannah. His displays for the Bantams have earned him a new contract at Elland Road. Why are the Leeds youngsters finding it so hard to progress to the next level? please log in to view this image
Morning all, I see round 3 of the super fan debate has kicked off on social media. I have sympathy for the majority of season ticket holders but there are far too many who come across as arrogant, selfish and self entitled. The ones who can't make an argument for their case other than "bu..but ive been to more games than you. "
Morning, I can't understand why the youngsters aren't progressing. Are we exposing them to the same fitness requirements and style of play as the first team or a comparable level of coaching. I felt quite comfortable with Carlos Corberán but I'm not as impressed, with no particular reason to say this, about the coaching of Mark Jackson. When they go out on loan they are for sure not going to be exposed to Bielsa style requirements or the "team before self" type of approach. Perhaps we need to be more selective about the teams we loan our potential future star to. OK rambling over
Great question this because there is a real gulf in class between these kids and their team mates at L1 clubs they joined. But there is also a gukf in experience the other way. These kids came from a successful academy coached how to play fantastic skilled football, but are playing with Sunday league cloggers in some respects now. They will not get the time on the ball to do tippy tappy stuff and being so young can be blasted off the ball. Bread and butter football isnt the caviar they are used to, and they need to get stuck in or they will be released. Hosannah get rave reviews because hes a tough tackler but also because he can blast past anyone with his skill and pace on the wing. So he gets noticed. Gotts is now getting stuck in as a tough tackler too but hes been there months now and only just getting it?
Good morning. Season ticket holders have already paid for their ticket and for that reason only should obviously be given priority (rather than all the superfan arguments going off on twitter.) If me and my dad have paid a grand between us for our tickets and then we're told we can't watch us play Man Utd in the league for the first time in 20 years because my mate who has a £30 membership is using our seats instead i'd be annoyed.
Can see why ST holders feel they should be first back in and it seems logical to me. However, whilst numbers are going to be so limited I won't be seeking to attend. Don't get me wrong I'd like to go, but I'll let others who perhaps are more in need mentally and emotionally to have first dibs. It's been a long old year and unfortunately some have had it worse than others, not saying tickets should only go to supporters who are struggling but I'm happy to wait a bit longer
Only because you won't get a ticket for the butler as well. No one to go for the drinks ready for half time. How much is half a pims at Elland rd?.
the step up from boys to man’s football is huge. The game is faster and more physical. It’s not something that’s readily apparent until you make the step up. Far less time on the ball, technique has to hold up under pressure and decisions have to be made faster. Feedback I’ve heard from the horses mouth was that it was a real shock to the system, knackering and took some time to adjust. The skill is in picking the ones who can/will step up. You can have bags of skill and look a world beater at one level and just not be able to do it at the next.
Another reason Radz is looking at buying other clubs is that it allows him to do what Man City do, and thats beat the new immigration laws which come in at the end of the month. If you own or have a controlling interest in another club you are doing internal transfers to Head Office, it also allows you to use your ither club as a feeder club. Points based immigration will take slightly longer as boxes need ticking but not if you have feeder clubs and it allows you to bring in up 3 Under 21 players, whereas under the new system almost impossible to bring in kids from overseas anymore
He should buy scum, we'll have Marcus 'holier than thou' Rashford and Square Head Maguire, let them rot in Leeds United reserves (subs bench) and they can have Coco
