The Chairboys welcome fans back to Adams Park for the first time since February and the chosen ones will see us face the Potters who we have only beaten once and that was on our last meeting nearly 19 years ago a AP and a solitary Jermaine McSporran goal was enough to give us all three points this was on the 9th March 2002 and we had a crowd of 7344 a season when we finished 11th and the Potters went on to win the playoffs and gain promotion to the second tier this will be the ninth meeting between the teams. We will all be waiting with bated breath for Gaz to unveil our line up this evening with the games coming thick and fast and the injury list getting bigger with most of our midfielders being on that list Jason McCarthy could be used as a holding midfield player. I was one of the chosen ones to go to this game but declined the offer in favour of watching it in the warm, all being well I will be going to our next home game on the 12th against Cov when hopefully we will have 2000 of us there double todays limit but I'm sure the 1K will provide a good atmosphere and give the lads inspiration to get a good result
TEAM NEWS: Jason McCarthy makes his 100th #Chairboys appearance! Andre Burley and Malachi Linton - recalled from Slough Town - earn a first place on the bench. #WYCvSTO https://t.co/rv8E73ZP1q
Same defence again which is good as they look great together. Midfield looks a bit short. Happy with the attack, Fred and Horgan look alright at this level. I think Parker deserves a chance. And what has happened to Charles?
We came out of the traps well and bossed the first 15 but Stoke came back into it all in all even first half
I just can not see where the goals are going to come from, after making all those chances against Watford, they seem to have dried up a bit
Absolutely essential we get a couple of first class strikers; but can't see where we would get them. A premier League starlet not quite ready for a first team place (ie someone who can terrorise defences and someone who knows where the goal is). We are actually doing very well since the first 4 games but losing by the odd goal won't keep us up. We must be 1/10 for relegation with the bookies
I don't know how we are going to put together a solid midfield on Saturday with Gape, Adeniran Thompson Pattison and now McCathy all injured and Bloomfield with a head injury having to play through the pain barrier at the age of 36 we do not seem to have anyone left who could play the holding midfield role we do have lots of wide and forward midfield players
