thought he was assistant, but i live in Germany so may miss some of the news however do you agree that all the work done coaching he should be able to pick a decent side ,we do have decent players he had his chance to show what he could do and failed miserably.

Although I try to maintain a positive stance. I wasn't expecting miracles overnight but honestly thought we would have enough in us to beat Burton

When Graham replaced Wyke I honestly laughed and thought we still have no real goal scoring threat especially as at that time no Maguire or Gooch (injured) really offers us any other real goalscoring threat.

Goalscoring and the ability to hit shots on target is a major problem for us.

As is of course the appointment of a new hierarchy from top to bottom.

Its a sad state of affairs and there is no quick fix imo

    Patience is a virtue.

But unfortunately nowadays patience is a thing of the past,.,,

He’s not based on tonight’s ‘effort’

Not once did he try to get in front of his man to either hold the ball up or take a chance to get across his marker, the one time he competed for the ball he just jumped into the back of his marker and gave a free kick away.

94th min the ball finds his way to him 30 yards out and he turns and just lumps it in the air in the general direction of maguire.

The bloke is an absolute fraud, doesn’t look fit or interested he should be the first out of the door

    He got it wrong, yes.

I just think he can't be blamed for getting it wrong (this time) . He's got no manager experience and had 2 days in charge (and drill the players in new tactics) . If he is still caretaker for the next game, and still doesn't try anything new then I'll say he's ****e. He did, unlike parky, make his subs before the 80th minute and change the formation which gives me hope he'll at least flexible enough to change things. We'll find out on Saturday.

Best of a bad bunch doesn't mean I think he's good. He's just got more about him than Wyke and Grigg imo. He's not a target man, he's at his "best" when running at the defence (partly because he makes space for other players when he does) - and when our service to him allowed him do that it caused Burton problems. Our team has been coached to lump it to a target man, which Graham isn't.
Wyke isnt good as a target man, nor running at the defence (pretty sure he can't actually run).
Grigg... Well I'm not sure what his problem is but he's ****.
So to repeat myself, Graham is the best of the 3 imo.

Sorry mate but Graham is the best of the 3 at what? it certainly isn't being a striker, he's currently being outscored by big Charlie and Grigg is a better bet for a goal than Graham.

I would go as far to say that I would even play someone like Maguire up top rather than play Graham.

    Sorry, rant over.

understand where your coming from mate and can agree up to a point, but we both know he has watched every first team game should know where we are short, i mean all the lads on here can see what we are crying out for,and he knows what Parky was sacked for yet still picks the same old faces, if that was me i would have checked the fan sites to see what they were looking for,and with the new blood we have at least try a training match with the young quick lads against the plodders as see how it went

How many games had Wyke played vs Graham? As I said in a previous post, stand still in the box (as Wyke does) and the ball is bound to hit you and bounce in occasionally.

Not sure why you're ranting, it's just my opinion based on what I've seen of both players so far. If you don't agree that's fine, it's not gonna change my life

No worries mate, I'm just done with Graham, he doesn't work hard and that's how Wyke, who we know is limited as a player, gets his goals. Graham for me just isnt interested in doing well here.

That position was too big for Taylor even for one game, Elliott dickman should have been given the job. Has got the under 23s playing well, with style and fast, has knowledge of managing a team which Taylor hasn’t and more importantly is not attached to parkys ensemble

I know I should know but I honestly haven’t a clue who were our main strikers when we were relegated to div 3 it can’t of been these Cart horses or was it?

Every match, beforehand, I expect that this will be the match where we actually play well and win comfortably. It just doesnt seem to happen though. to be so toothless and awful to watch in a league such as this is scandalous.

I love Marco - but both of those points can't be right as they completely contradict - in the first he blames the manager who's been there since lunchtime on Sunday, and in the other (correctly IMO) he lays the blame with the players.

In 2 days there is no way you can retrain a team who have been coached to play to a formation all season. You can change personnel (which he has to accept responsibility for) but those players on that pitch yesterday, who were a hundred times better than Burton, which just shows how bad Burton were more than anything, looked like their entire world had fallen in when Burton scored. Nobody wanted the ball except O'Nien - and he's probably out for weeks/months now!!

Credit the manager for making the subs he did when he did but the players need to stand up and be counted for their reaction to going a goal down.

Exactly what has been Taylors involvement then, none until yesterday, it certainly looked like it.
