On the subject of loanees I have 2 more bits of news.... if true?

1. Real Oviedo have changed coaches and now play one up front so are struggling to give Rafa Mujica any game time. They are apparently speaking to Leeds about sending him back next month, to allow us to find him another club to get game time. Mujica is now 22 and needs to sort it out fast.
2. For the 3rd week running stories coming out of Barcelona about them wanting Bielsa to take Riqui Puig on loan. The stories are in 3 Spanish outlets so far and all vary slightly, but the interesting one is that Koeman wants Bielsa to take him on loan as he wants Puig to come back able to play Bielsa style? This story isnt going away and its unusual to go into a 3rd week and spread over countless publications in France, Spain, Germany and Italy. Each one involves Puigs agent, and Barcelona refusing to sell him but want to loan him out. PSG, Bayern Munich, Leipzig AC Milan, Roma, Leeds, Man City and Leicester all named

 

Hi Doc, I haven't seen anything new in the Spanish sports press, it's all old news rehashed.
Barcelona are in a real mess on and off the pitch.
I guess it's agent trying to get him a new deal at another club, or Barca trying to get him off their books.

 

So they want us to train him in Bielsaball, guarantee him first team football, probably doubling his value in the process, and then send him back?

Yup, agree. WTF is in it for us? Sounds like agents pish again.

Btw, has anyone realised that promotion has made it more difficult to get rid of our surplus players? They all got a pay rise, and for instance, I'm sure I read that Douglas was now on £45kpw. Betcha Blackburn are paying very little of that. He'll not leave in January unless we pay up his contract. Again, same question - WTF is in it for us to pay him off?

 

If that’s true about Douglas it’s madness. We may as well have kept him at the club on a lower wage, and if he wanted more game time, let him put in a transfer request.

Not his fault he’s no longer good enough for us but all we’re doing is letting Blackburn have a decent Championship player at our expense.

Makes no sense.
