    Buzzing with that. I’ve constantly said him for a role like that for a couple years now, can’t believe it could be him! Used to say he’d be my first person to ring if I won the euro millions and bought the club

    Was there 3 nights a week, owners nello and them said he was sound. They also said how sick of the job he got at the end....he is more motivational than tactical so that could help us in this league

    Think this will be a fantastic appointment
    People forget he started as a league One manager with Brighton
    and stormed the league. Then had them on the verge of promotion to the Prem next season.

    If he could replicate that along with playing the kind of football we witnessed at Man U that famous night we really will be having our cake and eating it.

    Mind you part of what makes him different is that he's a bolshie bugger.
    Virtually all his jobs he's left because he's had disagreements rather than the football.

    Think the new boys need to give him his head (within reason) and maybe appoint a Sporting director above him who just delivers what he asks for rather than dictate to him
    A bit like the set up they have at Liverpool Lets Gus manage the football strategy and style of play throughout the club

    Fair enough we've got different views, but I'm ok with that.

    I do think there were quite substantial negative rumblings about him even early doors. I also think he didn't help himself, especially second season when things started to go wrong. He almost went into a 'us against the world' mentality and that included his own fans.
