We always say agree. You’d definitely find positive posts about the ownership of you looked for them. You seem to be spending a lot of time thinking about an assumption you’ve made regarding something that has nothing to do with you. Or maybe it does, you’re anonymous so you could be anyone.
It's being reported he will have a voice and I'd expect he will do, but there's a footballing technical director being appointed and a manager above him, Rodwell will remain as CEO looking after other stuff, methven may well have a voice but he's not going to be picking players or employing scouts. Him having a voice a 6% stakeholder is not the same as being paranoid he will be secretly pulling the strings.
He’s done it before though. I take your point but the fact that he’s anywhere near it in any capacity is cause for concern.
These people who actually believe that this would happen are fecking barmy. It's like saying there's 4 people who own shares in KFC and the lad who owns the most 40 percent is going to let the guy who fries the chips who has a 6 percent stake make all the decisions
I believe that like Rodwell, he will be there for the transition period, it would be daft to force a complete restructure by sacking all of the senior staff on day one, there are other areas to focus on initially. It won't be long before they are replaced though.
Some people will believe whatever they choose. Positive news is dismissed as bollocks and negative news seized on as 'realism'. Some people still refuse to believe there's a takeover ... ... some probably believe Parkinson has been sacked as manager but will pop up as DOF
To be fair, that’s exactly what has happened for the last 2 and a half years. Sartori has 20% and has done nothing. Methven has been on site and running things daily with 6%.
Yes. Methven was at the club 4 days a week. Donald was not there daily, barely at all. Then when it went sour Rodwell appeared.
Absolutely, do they really think that I had a say in running SAFC when I owned shares during Drumaville ownership of the club . A minority shareholder in a company is only in it to make money, a bit like having an ISA in shares. Having said that people who want to be negative can’t help themselves, it’s shame for them.
At 6% he won’t have a big say unless he has won the trust of sartori and the new people. That’s the worry, they might not understand how devisive methven is. If he is rewarded for brokering the deal but then told to take a back seat and collect his promotion money soon, all is well.
Running things is a bit of a stretch. He had a remit to run marketing and PR etc. Donald as owner purposefully put his mates in positions control and decision making. This time round there seems to be suggestions that actual footballing people will be put in these positions. You and others are seeing Methven under Donald and thinking it will be exactly the same under KLD and Sartori. It’s completely different people in majority control. Amount of shares don’t matter to who they appoint to do certain things. You can’t base what is going to happen going forward on what happened in the past as the ultimate decision making is with different people. That was a Donald problem ultimately, not a Methven one.
I know nothing mate so this is completely from the outside looking in, but didn’t Methven have a role as marketing director hence why he had a big say? Once he resigned from that role but kept his 6% share he didn’t have any input it seems
