Is this rumoured sporting director going to operate as a director of football type? If so then surely this needs to be done BEFORE any managerial appointment? I'd say this role should be heavily involved in dictating the direction of the club going forward and identifying a new philosophy and ensuring any new manager is capable and able to play towards this new philosophy.
If KLD is simply buying into madrox why does the loan need resolving, if they ok the young lad as far as they are concerned it just carries on as before.
Would be surprised if we appointed a manager before announcing the sporting director, even if the incoming SD has signed it off
James Hunter in the Chronicle seems to think it's Rodwell's job to pick the new manager, albeit it with the backing/blessing of the new owners. To me that's a concern and hopefully he's got it wrong.
