Cresswell and Dramah have been called up to the England young Lions squad.

2 changes today as Bobby Kamwa comes in

Half time with Leeds 1-3 up against a big powerful Newcastle. 2 for young Liam McCarron on his first start for a while and ghe usual goal from Joffy Gelhardt. Mark Jackson will give his defence a slap for nobody picking up a big CB who had a free header from a corner.

McCarron having an outstanding game so far playing left wing and plenty of great footwork. Bobby Kamwa got on the end of a fantastic Bielsaball move but had his goal ruled out for offside

Terrible 2nd half after being 0-3 up and going in at half time 1-3 up getting beaten 4-3 is a joke. Not sure what happened but all momentum lost. Soft goals conceded, enough said. Jacko sort that pile of steaming poo out mate

Begs the everlasting question, though - do you want to see them win, or do you want to see them develop?

I think they'll learn a lot from this.

Agree 100% but seems some players need sorting out. For example Bobby Kamwa got a start for the first time in ages and obviously thinks he is better than he is. He tried to take the ball off Joffy for the penalty and Joffy was having none of it and other players had to come and calm Kamwa down. So I wonder about his career at the club and one to watch. There were too many players doing crazy flicks and tricks because they were cruising and then they got found out because none of the tricks came off and we were back under pressure. This league is the best league these kids have played in and some need to sort their heads out or they may find themselves vanishing

Well that was a terrible half for Leeds 0-1 to WBA

everyone playing in strange positions again and after a delayed start and team change we had Sam Greenwood in midfield with Rodrigo and Bobby Kamwa up front and a back 3 which was dodgy although Cresswell solid, Dramah wayward Davies a few decent bits and pieces we also had Liam McCarron onnghe left of midfield and Poveda wide right, but it was a half of unfinished moves, wayward passes, Rodrigo running everywhere trying to gee them up but besides a stinging shot on goal he was not in it enough due to Leeds not been on the ball enough. Poveda was also out of the game for long periods as too often Davies and McCarron went down the left leaving young Ian redundant but like Rodrigo when he got the ball he was silky. Greenwood did well in the middle tacking back but major changes needed for the 2nd half.

hope he replaces Kamwa with Greenwood and Gelhardt for Rodrigo, Get Struijk on and McKinstry. We shall see

Final score Leeds Utd 2-1 WBA

fantastic 2nd half performance because we put players back where they shoukd be except Sam Greenwood who carried on toiling in midfield because Kamwa was left on. Poveda, Davies and Rodrigo replaced and a great performance from Struijk who ran the defence and midfield, Roberts went up top and was one touch too many as usual and greedy but he did clip one in for the equaliser. Costa played the Pablo role and ended up scoring a gem by beating 4 players and scoring. Huggins, Struik, Cresswell and Casey and Dramah were brilliant. Dramah vast improvement on 1st half. Huggins is way better as a left wing back than Leif Davies. I really like Sam Greenwood who worked his socks off in midfield but is an out and out striker and would have buried the 4 chances Bobby Kamwa had. Much more like it well done.

having 1st team players in the side messes them up but by having the players in their normal holes made a difference except for Greenwoodbut Costa is good enough to play in the middle

Bobby has spent time out injured but been given the full match in the last 2 games. Deceptively pacy but no end product sine he moved from U18s where he did score goals. Fluffs his lines at this level and I fear he will now be moved on as Gelhardt and Greenwood are almost first team ready an really missed today. You wouldnt play Greenwood in midfield unless you wanted to give him minutes to get his levels back. Here a other options up front rather than Kamwa so expect to see 2 lads called Max who also score for the 23s and 18s. Sorry Bobby but ...

Yeh but radz would have to buy the circus before they'd agree to take him.

    He might be a clown...but he's not funny <laugh>

I followed Kamwa in the u18s. Didn't see him for a while, then caught him at a pre-season match in York. I didn't realise it was him, as the little skinny boy that played often on the wing was now a big tank playing up top on his own. Completely different player. I haven't seen him in the flesh since then, but wonder if this fairly sudden growth spurt has affected him mentally. Haven't heard of him playing on the wing since, so wonder if his confidence has taken a hit, as he's clearly viewed as a one-position player now. Pure speculation on my part, btw, but I agree that it's likely that he'll be moved on.

Todays team well worth keeping an eye on as we see Cresswell, Casey, Huggins, Joffy, Greenwood, Struijk and Dremeh who will all be pushing for first team plus we see Pablo starting and Poveda on the bench

Crazy game this Leeds all over Villa like the pox and playing some fantastic stuff, yet Villa have only 2 attacks and score 2 goals. After 40 minutes Villa are 2 up after 42 minutes its back to 2-2 thanks to Bobby Kamwa and Sam Greenwood. It could have been more as Kamwa, Greenwood, Joffy and Huggins have all had chances.

    Full time
    Leeds Utd 3-2 Villa
Goals from Kamwa, Greenwood (Pen) Roberts (Pen)

Domination from Leeds with some great performances Man of the Match Sam Greenwood, closly followed by Gelhardt, Dramah, Casey, Cresswell, Poveda, Huggins, Kamwa. Pablo a bit out of it but some great touches, Roberts should have had a hat trick but fires wide twice from a few yards out and wasted chances through greed. He did however also have a couple of good touches and skills.

Leeds Utd are now top of the league :emoticon-0148-yes: which is brilliant in this company

Wonder what the score is with young Summerville as he was missing yet again. So is he not good enough for the 23s, is he injured, is he in quarantine? But only seen him 3 times this season and he was a regular in the Dutch Premier League so he shouldnt be overawed?
