Unbelievable record. Took a little ****ty village team with a population of a few hundred and had them promoted all the way to the professional leagues. Then he took over Amiens and took them all the way to ligue 1 for the first team in their history. He seems to be a perfect fit, tbh.

I'm in no way advocating it.
If that said, if we get back to the premier league during one manager's tenure I don't think anyone would give a **** about then having 10% in the club.

I worry there are too many chefs in the kitchen as it is. I know this whole, minority shareholders have no say stuff is going around but having enough minority shareholders is enough to cause the cloudiness of division.

Me too. We don't have to offer an old manager 10% of a business to do that. though <laugh>

Definitely agree with that. People that have worked with him have a lot of good things to say. Such as he can get that extra out of players, he can be tactically flexible, and he's a good analyst of the game. They are all things that are surprisingly rare.

Voted Pearson without a lot of conviction, can't see BSA as he's semi retired and his age is against him.
Would be happy to give an up and coming younger guy a go and know nothing of continental managers but not averse to that either.
Bloody confusing this can we not have a two name poll, it's like being out for a meal and being handed a menu with twelve different options, takes me ages to decide.
Just happy were having to enlist a new manager Bye bye Phil.

I'd love him involved from what I've read he's a very talented coach, but I would be a tad worried if he got the job like. Like all appointments though he'll get my initial support.

True that and respect yours but I disagree with venom. I think it would be a desaterous path for any club to go down and I wouldn't want us to be the ones to do it. The potential value could be akin to 10s of millions for a person who may not even be in a job at the club when the stake becomes valuable. I can't see how it would be good business on any level personally.

Love this idea mind. But I’m one that thinks he’ll be looking higher. Although, if it’s been done in preparation fir the new ownership, then it’d be one hell of a statement!!

Sam might be a good move for a temporary manager until the new owners find their man.
A month or two wouldn’t break the bank and Sam might go for that kind of short appointment.

For me, Eddie Howe or Chris Hughton(spelling)
Not Kev as I would hate it if we turned against him if he failed.

Whoever the new owners pick for the permanent manager will give us a big clue as to where we are going.
I can’t see a permanent manager being put in until the new owners are completely in charge unless they are doing the hiring now.
Maybe Taylor will keep the job until a permanent manager is appointed.
Any manager coming must know he will be fully supported by the new owners.

Sam sad he’d never come back somewhere he’s already been. Was on Talk Sport and some SAFC fan asked him outright. Was very gracious but he said he wouldn’t.

Short-Term might be an option he’d consider but I doubt it unfortunately

Don't get me wrong I think he'll be looking higher too, but I do think he'd seriously consider it and wouldn't reject it out of hand. You could put together a very enticing offer, assuming that we do a proper job of sorting the club out in the very near future.

I think he'd be the type who would buy into a project and wouldn't insist on it being his way or the highway. His spell at Burnley puts me off a bit though.

It does not matter how how much money the new blokes gove the new manager we are dictated by league one rules and the way things are the moment we have to sell before we buy more or less

Tbh I don't really recall his time with Burnley but I gather it wasn't a success. The job we need doing is similar to what he achieved at Bournemouth, more or less starting from scratch to, in our case, rebuild a club.

I reckon with a DoF he'd do well because I believe that he buggered it up at Bournemouth by spending big on the wrong players but his man management skills are exemplary and he plays proper football.

I think Burnley finished mid table in the Championship under him. He left for personal reasons but I think there was some questioning of whether he was homesick or not. I vaguely recall there may have been some issues with a family member's health so saying he didn't like being away from home might have been unfair.
On board with you on the spending, man-management, and proper football points.

If people want to spend money they will spend money.

I know we can't break the salary cap but you can back end contracts to kick in upon promotion etc.

Creative people always get around that stuff.

Pearson for me. Man's an unpleasant bastard, but he gets the job done. We already have a good enough squad, they just need organizing into a unit that remembers that you don't stop trying to score when you go one up...
