Good Morning. It's Monday 30th November, and here the latest headlines from Elland Road

Hard earned victory moves Whites up to 12th

A hard fought, though well deserved victory at Goodison Park on Saturday late afternoon moved Leeds away from the danger zone, and within three points of 5th place.

Both teams carved out opportunities in the first half, but it was Everton who almost broke the deadlock first. A lapse in concentration by Cooper gave Davis an opportunity to tee up Doucouré beautifully, but France's U19 keeper denied the former French U21 midfielder from close range.

Harrison also went close early on. Raphinha's inch perfect pass across the box was struck narrowly wide from close distance. Minutes later Bamford went close. His scrambled shot only denied by the flailing leg of England shot stopper Jordan Pickford. Harrison went close again; his header only denied by the woodwork.

Everton thought they had scored against the run of play, but VAR signalled that Rodriguez had stayed offside. The offside flag also denied Richarlison from putting the home side ahead before half time.

Even bearing this in mind, Leeds dominated for large periods, recording 13 shots before the break - the most in a Premier League half this season.

Both teams continued to press in the second half, but it was a moment of magic from Raphinho that separated the sides. The Brazilian struck a thunderbolt from almost 35 yards out, which went between the legs of Ben Godfrey giving Pickford no chance.

Although Lees had other chances from Ayling, Alioski and Costa, Pickford was at hand to thwart their efforts.

With 58% possession and 23 shots at goal, no wonder Leeds are becoming known as being one of the most entertaining sides in the top flight.

    Bielsa's post match reaction

Leeds gaffer Marcelo Bielsa reacts to Leeds first win in six attempts having beaten the toffee's at Goodison Parrk at the weekend.

    Morning all,

Good performance Saturday. Everyone played well with special mentions for Phillips, Raphinia and Meslier.

Feel for Bamford who was going for the record away goals in opening games. While it was ruled offside due to Alioski i feel Bamford should get a bit of credit for the way he put it away.

In regard to the account of chances we create against goals scored. Yes we put a few wide and im sure the the goals are smaller in the Premier league recently but let's talk about the goalkeepers.

The quality of goalkeeping in this league is just so better than what we've been used to.

Look back to Man City. We would have beaten them but Ederson put in a world class performance.
Leno last week made at least three world class saves and typically Pickford chose Saturday to remember why he is England's number 1.
We ain't facing Lee Camp anymore

    Morning all

I see Chelsea are charging £75 a ticket for the pleasure of watching us against them.

I think it was on a Facebook group that someone pointed out it will be too expensive for the genuine fans so it will be the suit wearing corporates in attendance which will suit us

Pickford is a clown but just like many others he saved his best for Leeds.

What is the most surreal transfer rumour you have heard lately. Mine is that Divok Origi is signing in January, which makes sense NOT. This fella has stole a living as a striker and in 196 games he has managed to score 39 goals. Sorry but a goal every 5.5 games doesn't a striker make. Why do the media insist on us signing non strikers from Belgium. Origi will make Bamford look like Shearer

If they had any class they would've given free tickets to the Chelsea pensioners but that's too much to ask for that money obsessed club.

The ex players who are now media pundits talking about Leeds style of play and our players performance make me laugh.

How many pundits talk about a player by starting off with “ I couldn't believe how far he ran up field delivered a great pass then charged back into defence to cut out an attack. Thats not real”. Well pundits all that says to me is that you were a lazy prat who had it easy in training and never pulled your plug out. Superior fitness obviously can compensate for a slight lack of skill against some top teams. Bielsa proves the point that hard work brings rewards and that teamwork can beat better teams.

My view must be that the best professionals in any walk of life make sure they are fully trained and fit for work. Being in peak fitness in sports can only bring rewards, being not at peak condition means you will moan about bad luck, Bad reffing, bad pitch and make you a sulky bellend

    Great team performance Saturday.

One major positive for me was Cooper. He has struggled all season and had stopped trying to dominate forwards. He has been a bit stand offish and I think that was partly to do with him maybe mentally not thinking he can hack it at this level. I think he relished the challenge against Calvert-Lewin and went a bit more old skool on him. He also showed a bit more leadership at the back which helped Koch a bit more. Don't get me wrong, he came second best a few times and personally I think he has to play every game like it's his last to survive at this level. However he came in to his own in the last 10 minutes when Everton were slinging in crosses. He met every single one and cleared them.

The leadership he showed on Saturday and the influence it had on those around him proved to me that he is very useful to the club moving forward at this level. Prior to Saturday I thought we had to replace him. He'll be our Duberry as long as he is here. A good back up.

    Afternoon all.
I think we were magnificent on Saturday. I think Raphina has that bit of quality we desperately need but what continues to impress me is how our average players have stepped up into the Prem.
Philips is outstanding and showed us what we missed against Leicester and Palace.
Klich has been superb every game, apart from his finishing, he pops up everywhere.
I think Dallas is our James Milner, he puts a shift in no matter where he plays, and I don't think he deserves the stick he gets.
Luke Ayling is still doing what he was doing in the Championship. He has an unbelievable engine.
Cooper has had to deal with a young keeper and a brand new partner at CB. He's made mistakes, all CB do, it's a tough job trying to stop Prem attackers, but he's shown that he's worth his place.
Bamford is a better striker in the Prem than he was in the Championship. Whether he's improved or the style of play suits him better I don't know but there's not many that give as much as he does for the team and also score.
Alioski has been a revelation under Bielsa, definitely one of the most improved players. He no longer falls on his arse all the time but still manages to wind the opposition up.
I'm only highlighting those who were there when Bielsa took over. Who would have thought we'd be raving over their performances in the Prem.

I can't help thinking how LL would be reacting to Philips now. I wonder if he accepts that he was wrong about him.

Can we all just appreciate that Klich is a much better person to be taking our set pieces too.

Be interesting to see how scum handle this. It's the exact same terminology as Suarez used to Evra. At the time Scum tried to act all 'holier than thou' to get the ban forced through. That was despite Suarez proving that it is an affectionate word that is used regularly in Uruguay.

Suarez got an 8 game ban as it was decided that it wasn't an excuse in this country. We'll see how it pans out but I'm pretty sure scum should have suspended him already given their stance on the word last time.

Some interesting games tonight, who do we want to win?
Leicester/ Fulham....... Fulham and put Sheff Utd in big trouble? or Leicester to put Fulham in deeper trouble, don’t forget Wilder was very detrimental towards our club Just before they were promoted.
West Ham/ Villa....... maybe a draw, Villa have a game in hand don’t forget.

we have a tough one next in Chelsea, very powerful at set pieces, an area we need to be more decisive, watched then against Spurs and they seemed to cancel each other out, that Tammy Abraham looks poor hope he plays against us and not Giroud up front, question I’d like to ask is there any advantage in Chelsea coming first in there CL group?

    Morning all.

We need three clubs to finish on fewer points than us so a Leicester win keeps Fulham well below us. And can't stand Villa, so West Ham for me.

He used the term 'negrito' when replying to a fans post, later claiming it's used as a term of endearment in Uruguay......... allegedly.

My view on other results remains steadfast - I want them all to draw. Every game. Who was the last team to win the PL with 38 points? Exactly!

I'm really serious about the draws. Losing those extra 2 points can be a morale buster for some teams. Hopefully! :D

As for the Chelscum game, Fat Frank will want to thrash us, so expect his strongest team.

I believe that record breaking dire season that Derby had will not be broken by Leeds as we already have 14 points. There is also a great record of Bielsa’s which is that Leeds have gone 24 away games winning when we have scored first. Thats better than any other team in Europe, so we are obviously not a bad outfit.

I think Robin Koch is being fed peeled grapes and been fanned by Cooper because hes actually had Haverts and Werner in his pocket on many occasions, sorry Fwanky
