Pearson with Phillips as number 2 feels like the dream ticket. Just not sure he'd drop to League 1. I've advocated Paul Cook and he feels like the natural choice
Keane and Poyet. Would be Keane and allardyce but don't think he's remotely realistic so didn't want to vote for him. Pearson would be third choice.
Said a recent interview he would with the right club sharing a long term vision. Remember reading it and thinking he was talking about us
Thing with Barton is he's the master of accents so he could be a different nationality every interview. Nobody more foreign.
Eddie Howe or Gus. I expect Gus to be given the job but anyone saying Howe wouldn't look at us has no ambition! How many times in a manager's career are they going to get a chance like this to build a club structure and use it to take a club of Sunderland's fanbase right up to the premiership?
He'd give his right nut to manage a club like us. Nobody is stupid enough to trigger a PR catastrophy by even considering him on a shortlist, this is all back in the real world of course
Cook has been there and done it before (Mind you, so had parky..) He’s worked with Power, he’s worked with Grigg. Maybe he can get the best out of that useless ****er because no one else has managed it.
I completely understand your thinking, but if they did their job right, they would only be at a League One club for 6 months.
Always liked Daniel Stendel when he was at Barnsley - he got them playing to good football and was a bit harshly treated in the Championship. He's not been crash hot in Scotland but he'll have a point to prove.
He's done a tougher job before and for bugger all pay. Maybe he likes a challenge, especially if he's being paid well. He doesn't strike me as being too up his own arse to consider it, we've got more potential as a club than Bournemouth.
That won't reduce their salary unfortunately. I don't know if owners can sugar daddy on manager wages with the new wage structure but I wouldn't want us to. I want us to be ran in the black for once.
if they get us out of this **** hole league they can spend till the cows come home and it wouldn't even dent their pockets, steady the ship for the prem sell stadium rights and all the other ways teams have bought their way to the top Chelsea Spurs liverpool Southampton and the rest
i think if you offered Big Sam a 10% stake in the club plus run the football operations he may go for it.
Short spent 90million more than we brought in and when he got bored and pulled the plug it was us who suffered. If we can generate the cash via loophole or not that's fine, were in the black as it counts as revenue, I'm talking about being spent into debt again. Cause Short didn't take advantage of any loophole to put us into into this situation hats for sure. Running in the black and a safe football club is most important to me as a fan. I never want to go through this nightmare again.
Love the thought of David Wagner managing the club. I think he has another Huddersfield type of success in him
