Recently, I have been paying more attention to the behaviours and performance of individuals, in particular Parkinson and Maguire. Parkinson - I don't know if any of you have noticed that he never acknowledges the players that come off after being subbed. No fist bump, no well done, not even any eye contact and a nod, the miserable git. I've also noticed that Parkinson never consults his first team coach, preferring to stand on the edge of the technical area with his hands in his pockets saying nothing at all. Maguire - I've noticed in recent games that his body language stinks. He is not a happy man at the moment, which probably accounts for his poor performances. To me, he is sulking because he is not the sole taker of set pieces. I've also noticed that he throws a strop when he is up in support and doesn't receive the ball. On at least two occasions in the last couple of weeks, when a goal has been scored, he stops dead, drops his arms and head, and looks really pissed off that he wasn't the one to score. Doesn't even go to the goalscorer and congratulate him, he just wanders off back up the pitch. Seems to me that he is a poor team player
McGuire looks unfit to me, when we first came back he looked class slim getting about the pitch etc now he’s just way off the pace and looks over weight to me.
Also glad scowens been taking the corners maguires have been poor for a while now. still hits the odd good free kick but he’d probs not be on them either if embelton was on the pitch he’s probably foaming about that.
McGuire hasn't looked fit or interested for at least a month. As for PP I think a qualified psychiatrist would struggle to work out his demeanour, he's less inspiring than that useless **** Moyes, and that takes some doing.
Don't get me started on Moyes. They're both cut from the same cloth. I've seen more inspiration from Baldrick's slug
Maguire seemed to raise his game after Parky binned McGeady for bullying, it was said at the time that Maguire was involved too but he obviously decided to knuckle down and make amends. Seems like he's no longer motivated by that, probably no longer respects the manager and is making more and more trips to McDonalds.
There was a photo of Maguire after we scored against Fleetwood. The size of his kite. He is supposed to be a professional sportsman ffs.. There is a reason why he hasnt progressed in his career. Clearly has talent but not a professional.
I've always backed Maguire, because on his day he makes us tick, but this season he's been atrocious, and I think it's time we got rid, just as have with Jurassic, who couldn't stimulate a knob in a Viagra factory.
has anyone noticed https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/55123992 Phil Parkinson: Sunderland 'part company' with manager after 13 months in charge Last updated onLess than a minute agoLess than a minute ago. From the sectionSunderland please log in to view this image Phil Parkinson won 19 of his 48 games in charge of Sunderland Sunderland have "parted company" with manager Phil Parkinson after 13 months in charge of the League One club. Friday's draw at Fleetwood was a third league game without a win for the Black Cats, leaving them eighth in the table. Ex-Bolton and Bradford boss Parkinson, 52, replaced Jack Ross at the Stadium of Light in October 2019 and led them to eighth place last season. Parkinson's assistant Steve Parkin has also left, with first-team coach Andrew Taylor to take caretaker charge.
Yes we noticed and a few tried to create a new thread but the mods merged it with the takeover thread for some obscure reason, shame.
The takeover thread is a black hole. The only thing that escapes is drivel. Too bad I had to learn of Parky's sacking from a Newcastle supporter.
It is a huge site and I find myself with about 20 pages to read if I venture there, it just shows the passions aroused by supporting this wonderful club of ours, but it can be a bit confusing at times
