It was. Loved it like a way of life but age caught up and I retired in 2003 to be a stockbroker. That was a hobby that became a career so again I was very lucky.
Exactly but who said only white people can be racist ? Don't most people understand that isn't the case ?
How's the teaching of multi culture and gender neutrality going in those parts of Birmingham that were on the news a while back?
I'll give you another story John and I'll guarantee it'll bring a smile to a few faces on here as well as your own.. I went to school at Greenfaulds High School ,Cumbernauld, obviously as my post above confirms,as does yours, things weren't easy being an Englishman in Scotland!! I played a bit of Football at School and was in the School team. There were players at my school who were just that little bit 'special',one of whom was in the year above me and went by the name of Dougie Bell....****ing hated me and my Hull City top!!! Used to comment more of less everyday "Hull City,They're ****e"," English Bastard" etc.Squared up a few times but never came to blows(handbags??)..... Anyway he went on to play for St Mirren,Aberdeen under Fergie, and Rangers under Jock Wallace....I'd meet him some times round about town or on the train going to Ibrox(He was Rangers through and through and I sometimes went to see them, especially against Celtic,my Paternal Grandmothers brother was a Rangers first team regular pre and post war,my Father was Scottish). I met him some years later on the train going into Glasgow,he was travelling a bit further...To Hull!!! Yes,he was on loan to us at the time.I'll never forget till the day I die, asking him with a massive smile on my face, who you playing for now Dougie???
Just a hunch, but I'm guessing that there won't be much in the way of St. Andrew's Day celebrations in John and Ric's households today.
Only just seen this about cavani In the post – which was later deleted – the words “gracias negrito!” are used to thank a follower congratulating Cavani on his performance in the match at St Mary’s. interesting
It was someone he knew. No one has asked the person he addressed the remarks to if he was offended. Not that it matters nowadays with the army of people ready to be offended by everything on their behalf.
Sadly as I explained in an earlier post it doesn't have to be the addressee of the comment that is offended for it to be a racial .. anyone hearing . Seeing .. or being aware of it can make such a complaint. Fraid its the law of the land .. niave to post such I'm afraid in this day and age.
You snowflake. Don’t listen to them. If you have to listen then complain to those playing them not to me. Of course only complain if you are truly offended & not doing so just to satisfy ingrained & subconscious racial prejudices. It’s pretty stupid using the phrase or similar on a public forum. You can’t have a private conversation on a public forum. If you used language like that in the tea room at work & were overheard then it’s only right you should be investigated if people take offence.
please log in to view this image my guess would be the Negrito bar (looks like they're selling a turd) by Bimbo would be deemed offensive by the constantly offended
