First of all, hope you are OK attivo - regular as clockwork with the daily thread but not seen one for today yet - hopefully you are just sleeping off a massive session on the ale
Water Allstar 1256 Leicester Looked in need of the run last time out so should be able to get close this time
SPEREDEK 17/2 Carlisle 12;10 The Hawkemeister has brought him along slowly this season getting his mark down while waiting for his ground. All systems go today and will look to follow up without a penalty!
Some cracking action at Fairyhouse today (shown live on RTE2 if you don't have Racing TV) so here my take on the Grade 1 races: Royal Bond Novice Hurdle - the list of previous winners since the race's inception in 1994 is certainly impressive - Istabraq, Moscow Flyer, Hardy Eustace, Hurricane Fly and Jezki all went on to become superstars and last year's winner Envoi Allen looks to be well on the way to joining them. Hot favourite for this year's renewal is another expensive Cheveley Park purchase, Ballyadam, also trained by Gordon Elliot. After burning plenty of fingers with defeat at 1/4 on his rules debut, he has since won a bumper and a maiden hurdle effortlessly and, whilst the form of his maiden win has yet to be really tested, it was certainly visually impressive. Willie Mullins runs N'golo in the Ricci colours and, whilst he has more experience on his side, he has not yet displayed the wow factor we have seen so often in those silks. He, along with Cask Mate, rates the biggest danger but this ought to be straightforward for Ballyadam. Drinmore Novice Chase - sit back, relax and enjoy perfection in equine form in the shape of Envoi Allen. He has unfortunately scared off the majoirty of opposition and will start at very cramped odds, but this should be a stroll in the park with another display of flawless jumping. Hatton's Grace Hurdle - the unbeaten mare Honeysuckle looks to make it back-to-back wins in the race and a five-timer for the fairer sex with Apple's Jade having taken the previous 3 renewals. She is basically up against a bunch of stayers but with no stamina doubts whatsoever she can preserve that unbeaten record. In short, it looks like a favourites day and I'd be looking to see if any of the bookies are offering enhanced odds on the treble
Missed the fancy prices, got on at 8s this morning. Another one at the meeting thats had some money and could go well is Bafana Blue in the 2:50. Got 16s on that but again missed the silly prices. Was 33s at one point.
Deciding to leave the Irish action alone today and there is only one I fancy in the last at Leicester. Leicester 3.31pm Rosieisaroseisarose 13/2 each way. Dropping in grade, ground shouldn't be a problem and extra distance looks a bonus having been a bit outpaced over 2 miles. A lot going for her today despite top weight. Good luck all.
Few bets at Fairyhouse for today, Ellie Mac @ 7/1 - 12.00 Druids Altar @ 9/4 - 12.30 Cask Mate @ 5/1 - 1.05 Captain CJ @ 9/1 - 2.05 Beacon Edge @ 13/2 and 10/1 - 2.35. There will be a rule 4 applied to the 10/1 as i placed the bet yesterday and Fury Road has been taken out of the race since. I'll need one other than Druids Altar to oblige to turn a profit today so fingers crossed for me, great day of sporting action lies ahead. Best of luck everyone.
They have a player online, here is the link: https://www.rte.ie/player/onnow/66546216064 I'm not sure whether you can access from the UK, I'm in Germany but have a VPN giving me an Irish IP address Or try this link http://www.coolstreaming.us/channelnew/54268/RTE2.html
Ballyadam relatively comfortable there despite a poor jump at the last. I wouldn't be in a rush to back him at 13/2 for the Supreme though. Ted Walsh says: "13/2? They should be put into jail for robbing"
He seems a bit more restrained when he is on British TV, don't know if it is just my imagination or if he is told beforehand to mind his p's and q's. On RTE you get him live and uncensored, he can be very funny.
I Havant had a bet in the next at Leicester 13.28 Sky Bet Leicester 13.28 green button with triangle in the middle Watch race ( green triangle ) Enjoy
