considering the injuries a point isn't too bad and the other teams up the top didn't have a stellar weekend either
Have to say that Coventry deserved that point. They came to play rather than park the bus. Fair reflection of the play and the lack of senior subs cost us dearly.
Yes to this. You look at players like Stiepermann, Josh Martin, Placheta and Vrancic and have to ask yourself how many times have those players played 90 minutes in recent memory? Stiepermann always gets subbed. Vrancic doesn't start. Martin came off after 60 minutes against Stoke the other night. We were running on fumes from 70 minutes onwards. That being said I'm happy with a point. Disappointing we couldn't hold on, but probably about right on the balance of play....and I don't begrudge Mark Robins getting a point. He's a decent sort of chap. Onto the next - which will likely be equally as tough. Pukki back would be huge. Fingers crossed.
Just looked at our available subs. I didn't realize Omotoye (striker) and Omobamideli (CB) were off the injury list. Omotoye, especially, could come in handy.
We have 12 injured, 9 out on loan, 1 suspended and 2 not available. This leaves 14 players who are presently listed as members of the NCFC First Team squad and are fit. Aarons may also be injured?
Buendia should no longer be suspended? Unless someone else has been. Every man counts now... But this time 18/19 season we had just climbed to fourth with 24 points
No complaints about Mcgovern he was pretty solid. Better finishing from Martin and Placheta could have made it safe but the boys did us proud. Onwards and upwards
