Fortress St Mary's 3 consecutive home wins 3 clean sheets 3 was the magic number but we all prefer four. COYR
One of the great joys of this board is that you never have a clue which thread you've wandered into. Just finished adding a post to the Wolves thread which is now the new politics thread, and then I came here to say something about something but have now completely forgotten what it was .. Ah, yes. The odds on Saints winning. 1976. Odds on winning on May 1 were 6/1. Bookies see 'Man Utd' and offer silly odds. We'll not lose this one, is my prediction, and Onionman can keep writing threads. It's all good.
Because people assume that Man Utd will do well, and will spend money as a result. You never see a poor bookmaker, and bookies don't need to offer long odds on Man Utd in order to get mug punters to part with their cash. It's all psychology, or similar. Alternatively, Fran has got it spot on - Man Utd are doing so much better than us. At least, the pundits will say so, whatever happens.
After a particular messy night cooking (lovely beef curry), I have put the dishwasher on now rather than before I go to bed. I'll leave it until the morning before I empty it though. We don't want to break a winning formula.
Giving the table a cursory glance, not a lot can happen to us whatever the results....unless we are slaughtered. Only West Ham are a threat. Still, best to win by a dozen or so goals.
Seems about the right time for Ole to win a game to keep him in a job for another month or so, United win 3-1
Nah, they've won their last three games. Time for a loss otherwise the press will have us believe Ole is the best thing since sliced bread again.
