Elland can you email me the photos's/stuff you have been attaching to this thread because I am not allowed to copy it or do anything with it. Will save you time mate. Hope you're feeling better. Back to normal this weekend with a football game on Saturday and lets hope that we can shock Everton. I like the players Everton brought in and fancy a top 6 for them this season. Hoping we have Koch and Cooper on top form because their No9 is scoring for fun and is probably the best header of a ball in the league. Not going to be long now before we find out what will happen in the new transfer window, so just wanted to get peoples views on a few things. Bhoy and Nessy will probably be released to get them off the books for good and maybe Nessy can find himself a new club, but Bhoy I don’t give a toss as hes milked the club and never even put on a shirt. We also have Grot and I believe a new loan deal is being arranged as he is almost back from injury, but again he may also be released as I believe the club want to help him. We have players out on loan: Barry Douglas at Blackburn is the new fans favorite and putting in MoM performances. He will leave Leeds at the end of the season and I hope he enjoys himself and gets the success he deserves. he was unlucky at Leeds and Bielsas first real signing and even now the clubs only real LB but it never happened for him but what hes doing at Blackburn is clearly showing what we missed at Leeds. Eunan O’Kane is down at Luton but so far not played this season due to complications with his leg breaks and then other issues to do with muscle strains due to the breaks. Luton are looking after him and he will not be back at Leeds. Feel sorry for him because he was a good player and all our best results pre Bielsa were when he and Viera were in tandem. LDB looks like he will be signed by his present club as he is doing a good job and he’s a regular left back for them with good stats, so we will get a few quid back although he cost us less than a million. Stevens is down at Swindon and started like a house on fire. He scored and created goals, but is now under a new manager and isn’t getting started too many times. He came off the bench last week though and tore the opposition apart, so I hope he will get recognition again. If he isn’t starting he may be brought back in January? Stevens has to up his game because if he wants to come back to the club he has to compete with Harrison, Costa, Poveda, Raphinah, McCarron, Summerville? Bogusz is doing a decent job and after a slow start is now a regular and seems to have taken over the creative midfield role at his 2nd tier Spanish club. I hope this loan works for him because we all had high hopes of him actually being Pablo’s replacement? Ryan Edmondson at Aberdeen is doing well and his manager thinks the world of him. The fans seem to love his attitude too so lets hope he can get on the scoreboard more because he is going to have to compete at a much higher level back at Leeds, if he is to come back. Alfie McAlmont must feel cheated because he went to Oldham and then they changed manager and now he sits on the bench that Harry Kewell built. The fans cant stand Kewell and are demanding Alfie is played but…. Robbie Gotts another player not getting the game time he was promised at Lincoln and remember he was wanted at Huddersfield but Bielsa thought he would be better at Lincoln but not working out. The manager thinks Gotts is great but says he has to man up because L1 is big men who don’t tippy tappy? Bryce Hosannah at Bradford is already a fans favorite and every time he plays he wins MoM. However he has missed the last 3 games which Bradford lost due to a thigh strain. Bryce is a powerful explosive RB/RWB or CB and has pace and skills to burn, but he missed most of the 19 season with injuries and it seems he is still being held back. This kid has been one of the most skillful players at the academy for years according to Jacko and one of the best ballers in the whole club. Injuries are his enemy though. Kun was one of the best players in the 23s the season before last, when we won the league and National trophy. He was second highest scorer just behind Edmondson but he only played up front when Edmondson wasn’t playing. He did however play at CB and all over midfield and was almost player of the season. This kid came from Barcelona and was unlucky not to get more first team minutes under Bielsa that season. He went out on loan to Spain last season and his first move didn’t work out so we brought him back and then loaned him to another Spanish outfit where he started playing and scoring. Before the season ended abruptly with Covid Kun scored 4 in 3 games and this season was loaned back into Spain again but season didn’t start until late October but he has scored 2 in 3 games so far. Rafa Mujica was touted as a great find by Orta because this kid scored goals for fun at Barcelona Academy in tandem with his mate Riqui Puig. He wasn’t getting a chance there so opted to come to Leeds because Bielsa fancied him due to evidence and stats provided by Orta. He immediately went with the first team to Australia and played in pre season, but was then sent to the 23s. We sent him to Spain on loan last Xmas but wasn’t scoring or even starting. He is now at another Spanish club and he is the main striker now scoring 4 in his last 3 games. Will he be back or is he finished at Leeds? As we all know not every kid makes it and football is a business and we all have players we think deserve a go in the first team but I wonder just how many of the above kids will come back and actually play for Leeds Utd first team? Have a great weekend
Douglas, Gotts, Hosannah, Stevens and McCalmont all start for their clubs today and Aberdeen kick offf later but expect Edmondson to feature
Even if we lose today we will not fall any lower in the tables. Brighton drew and are still a point behind us and Burnley are taking a hell of a beating at City
... the guy chucks it in his own net so you can win your bet London and bloody VAR ruins it. Still time
We seem to be having plenty of happy weeks in the Prem whereas most teams who come up get beaten a lot and their fans are unhappy between matches. The consensus on here was that if we got 4 points from the tough run of games we have coming up, we would be happy. Well 4 from 2 of them so far and Fat Fwanks Billionaires next up. More and more pundits eating their words now regarding Leeds, Bielsa, relegation. Merson now believes we are one of the better top half teams too good to drop.
Style of play we're the best in the division....numero uno and even better than Liverpool and Man City. However, quality of players we're bottom half and that was after signing 4 really good players for £100 million. The big question is...will Bielsa stay long enough for the quality of players to match the style ? Were Bielsa to stay 2 more seasons after this one and Radrizani back him every transfer window then we would be proper title contenders, back in the CL and Bielsa would win Fifa coach of the year
I know the plan was to improve the squad every window as long as we stay in the Prem. Radz said as much and planned on competing for top 6 in around 4 or 5 seasons. Thats actually realistic and yes I think we could do it sooner, but: As Jammy says everything depends on Bielsa being here New manager would play a different style even if a Bielsa fan Imagine a new guy doing a Thomas and saying Klich is crap?
