We're asking the club if they'll give an update on the reported takeover. We'll ask to reschedule the meeting that was postponed if nothing is imminent. Fans are angry and have been more than patient. The standards we expect of SAFC on and off the pitch are nowhere near being met

Congratulations. You have won first prize in displaying a complete lack of self awareness. Well done.

It had to be someone high up at the club but considering what these chancers have been spouting about fans etc, maybe, just maybe RR and all of those in the know came clean about who said what and gave them the takeover info..

Well you call it respecting them, i call it you sucking them off so they throw you a few bits of information.
Embarrassing behaviour from a grown man to be honest.

I thought he was talking about himself in the last line

I agree they must have been told about the takeover/not takeover from someone within the club like. My money would be on the same muppet who ****ed things up last year. Step forward Stew Don, Lord of the Bus Stop.

I think that tweet reflects the current mood, both among RAWA and the wider fan base, quite well. If there's an imminent takeover then fair enough, but we can't allow them too much room when there's issues the fans want discussed and there's always a chance that a takeover isn't anywhere near as far along as they seem to be suggesting...

If they cock this one up, i seriously think the club will be finished altogether.

By the way, since he's already put it out there, I think Chris Weatherspoon is right about this not being all of the texts, there's a decent chance there's worse to come

Nah. Unless that loan to FPP is paid off the club would default to them. It's the one saving grace in all of this. Worse case scenario is Don decides to hang on, gamble on promotion and get a bigger price for the club. If he takes the route, he's having to fund the club and I don't think he has either the cash or the will to do so anymore. He's alienated himself from the fans and with the folk he has a consortium with so it's only a matter of time before he's gone. I understand folk wanting him gone like yesterday but sooner or later he will be. My money would be on an announcement in the next week or so, just off what was reported in the Guardian.

Results and performances on the pitch are bringing this to a head.
I think if we were flying at the top of the league most would be happy for the takeover to take its course.
But people are rightly worried we are not just stagnating but going backwards
Really hope we get some good news soon. And god help us if SD cocks this one up

Jesus, The Rat over on RTG is infuriating me, of all the people to go after regarding the 'leaked texts', Grumpy Old Man is the last on the list. Wouldn't surprise me if he was Kermit from earlier. Embarrassing tbh.

I'd hazard a guess that the only other candidate would be Methven the Meth Head. Either way, I think it's fair to say neither one of them will ever be giving a warm welcome ever again. And if Methven seriously thinks he'll be able to get away with having any sort of say in the running of the club he must be mixing his meth with crack and having double pipe sessions for breakfast. The level of abuse those pair would get if they showed their faces at a match would be off the charts.

    Doesn't add up for me.

    So he hates us.

But he wants more to do with the club.

    I don't buy it personally.

Some lad posted a fairly harmless thread about Parkinson losing the dressing room, etc.

He was inevitably attacked mainly by Vauxie who's laying into him and demanding 'sources'.

Grumpy's being attacked and the 'Methven text' thread is being used as an excuse to attack Sunderland supporters.

Anyway, I'm supposed to be working .....
