Well at least this one is at home I suppose so we stand a chance. Thought we were a bit unlucky at their place to be honest. Do we really want a cup run? Apart from the financial side of course it's just another match on the calendar leading to another match if successful. There are enough matches in a short space of time this year I think without adding to them.

But, we have to think positive until we are proved wrong again so I'm going for a win this time and Lincoln not being as good as we all think they are. We can do it..................

Lincoln's manager suggesting that he will change things around a bit....does he mean he'll rest some of his first team....because the league's more important....or does he mean he feels that he can win this one by bringing in certain other players.....or is it all bluff and he'll play his strongest available eleven.

I hope Lowe will not sod about with the starting line up too much....the prize money for Cup wins is very valuable at this present time without fans in the ground to boost income..

This is the team that I'd put out.....M Cooper...Aimson...Opoku...Watts...Edwards...Fornah...Camara...Mayor...Moore...Nouble...Jephcott.

Subs would be... McCormick...Canavan...G Cooper...Reeves... Grant...Hardie...Telford.......assuming they are all fit.

Lowe has recently commented about not revealing if he has injury worries at post-match chats.....should have learnt that fact years before becoming a manager.

I would be disappointed if Camara was kept on the bench....unless he comes on no later than H/T......no player should be taken off after 10 minutes and then left to stew on the bench for a few games..

Ryan Lowe's lack of experience has been showing recently....this of course is only his third season in management...and up to now he's come up smelling of roses....he has had recent upsets....one of them being a 5-1 result where his team was dismantled in 7 minutes....and then going down hill without any brakes to stop them.....it could of been 7 or 8-1 in the end.

I just going to comment on this saying I'd play Canavan and Cooper and Lowe and behold he has. Wasn't expecting Danny Mayor to be absent altogether............

Not sure about going back to Canavan and Wootton in defence....is Mayor being rested ?....so if he is....does that mean the Cup isn't so important...we need a win to break the losing run.

Ironically Lowe says Wootton brings better passing ability into the channels.

    !-0...Jephcott...6 minutes.....H/T

Well good start....but Lincoln doing most of the pressing.

Dull day in NW Kent....but the first half has made up for it with the sun straight down the camera lense in our faces.

Jerky camera action giving you a blurred vision at times.

Withstood a lot of pressure in that first half. We're having to play a lot more long balls than normal, whether by choice or not. It isn't sticking at the front, we aren't set up for it.

Without Mayor we don't have the same ability to retain the ball in their half which is giving them territorial advantage.

Shouldn't have to rely on one man, team should be able to adapt no?

Much better in the second half. Equally resolute in defence but keeping the ball on the deck much better and making more chances.

Good result against the team in third.

My MOTM would by Frank the Tank. Not the silkiest but gives 100% and a nightmare to play against.

Dare I say that we looked more of a team than Danny Mayor and 10 others?

    2-0...Jephcott...6mins...Reeves...55mins....F/T.

Good win by Argyle....Lincoln brought their big guns on near the end but it was too late...luckily they didn't get the breaks.

Not at all confident with our defence....but they kept a clean sheet against one of the better sides.

My MotM would be Ben Reeves...always hustling away at their players and scored a great goal....and nearly got a second...the ball catching a leg to stop it going in the bottom right corner.

Not Lincoln's day today....but we did get chances when they push players forward....Camara coming on and getting the chance to run at them.

Michael Cooper played well holding on to the ball every time with confidence.

PS....Not quite sure why we had a minutes silence for Maradona...or is that just me not being keen on his drug taking during his playing career...(and his way of cheating drug tests)...plus his alcoholism and that hand of God rubbish.

No Mayor and I am not sure why but it proves today we do not necessarily need him all the time. With him we play the same way all of the time. Without him the play changes and we should do both because as results have recently shown, we become easy to read and snub out. All this talk about the manager being green (novice) and criticism of certain players today has shown that they can respond.

Thought we played well today against a very decent side. We defended quite well and what we didn't defend Cooper saved. Today would have done his confidence the world of good. In fact the whole team will have benefited. Can't say there was a poor performance really. Cooper (not keeper) still can't cross a ball very well most of the time and then gets an assist with Jephcott's goal. Was pleased to see Camara on. He was so unlucky with his gallop towards goal and I was willing him to go all the way andd put it in. MOM for me was Reeves. Would like to see him get an extended run to see if he is consistent or a flash in the pan. His goal was superb. Not sure about the commentary that said Nouble set him up though. Can you mean to do that with a pass and then expect a volley to finish it. If the ground had been full today they would have taken off when his goal hit the net. Clean sheet despite critics of the defence. Good day at office.

Been looking on pasoti at the Graham Carey goals.....after awhile you forget how good he was at scoring spectacular goals.....and the way he got past that defender who had him trapped by the corner post....never seen anyone else at any level of football do that,

Why do I mention all that....because we didn't miss Mayor for one moment yesterday.....personally he isn't good enough to clean Carey's boots.

That's a bit unfair plym. Two different teams altogether so not that fair to judge him against Carey. He does make us play one way which is what I said before. With him constantly in the side opposition managers know what to expect. When he's on the ball though he does impress with his dribbles. His end product is not the same but I don't remember Carey setting up his team mates so often. Score himself yes but assists not frequent. Mayor tries to assist rather than scoring himself. My point was by leaving him out at times it gives the opposition more to think about and does no harm. Do I want him with Argyle rather than against? All day long. Carey has gone and is not coming back and people should get over it and concentrate on who we have now. Comparison is just not relevant.

I wonder if we would have won that yesterday if Mayor was playing....we'll never know.....but what we do know is that Reeves probably wouldn't have started.
