The goals were freaks. On the balance of play/chances a draw wouldn’t have been unreasonable - but it’s a styles make fights thing. I thought we’d struggle against Leicester and palace and do well against arsenal and Everton. You look at the xg’s for this season, and it’s quite interesting. ‘Should have started the season with 3 losses (yes fulham and sheff Utd had ‘better’ chances. Then beaten city, wolves and villa, lost to Leicester and palace (though the bamford ‘goal’ would have evened that up) and beaten arsenal.
So I suppose we can't wish each other a Happy White Christmas We can beat this side, if we can beat VAR, the ref and stop their striker
I was making the point that I don't think they are a great team, (look at that performance against Newcastle who have been woeful) which is why it was such a disappointing result and why we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves this season. Outside the relegation places will do.
Depends which Leeds turns up as well....we simply have to cut out the individual errors and defend set pieces properly. If we don't gift you any soft goals then I fancy our chances to get something from the game. To be honest though, it's just brilliant to be back in the big time and have these classic matches to enjoy again
We really dont. I think it's a tough game for us. Your guys run all day long and we dont have many players with the same fitness levels.
Just watching Sky and clips of Calvert-Lewin, that guy can certainly jump and head a ball. I hope we don’t give too many corners away.
