That is a worrying comment. Of course Albie Morgan should be able to play twice a week. Makes me concerned that Morgan is carrying one or more minor but maybe persistent injuries, or that he has another health issue.
I can't imagine that Bowyer would say that without good reason. He was quite happy to play other youngsters like Doughty and Gallagher twice a week, and contrary to what I feared, his handling of Morgan has improved the player. Maybe it's just Morgan's physical development is going at a slower rate than expected.
It’s been previously mentioned but worth repeating. I’d like to see Aneke, Smyth and Morgan starting. Maatsen on the left wing, Purrington at left back. Once we get Famewo and Inniss back I think we might start Matthews on the right wing with Gunter behind.
Not quite. How far along is he? I can see him playing a couple of games over Christmas before going to Celtic.
The jungle drums say that Alfie will be joining Celtic in January. He’s had his new offer from us on the table for some weeks now.
I trust Bowyer's assessment of Aneke's fitness- he's been managing him for long to know how his body behaves. He said this week that he would love to start him more, Aneke's body is "temperamental". The fact that Bogle is poor doesn't alter that, and Bowyer is getting what he can out of Aneke.
Before Captain Hindsight aka @TC (Lovely Geezer) crops up later, I’ve done Charlton & Bournemouth in a win double today.
there you go again with reason and logic. I agree with this, but how do you get the best out of Bogle? I don’t know what his strengths are. I thought he was a target man, but I don’t remember him going for anything in the air against Burton.
Bogle's had his chances as far as I'm concerned. We aren't getting promoted relying on him. He's a wasted shirt on the pitch.
My prediction is Morgan will start but so will Bogle with Aneke coming on at half time. Bowyer has mentioned Aneke's fitness too many times this week for me to believe otherwise. Amos Matthews, Gunter, Pratley, Maatsen Watson Morgan, Shinnie Williams Bogle, Washington
