ah... I missed that point completely, sorry where’s Chilc’s over the head image when you need it? Me ^^^ Here it is
I’m not that worried what commentators say while the game’s on. I do want some insightful analysis after though. BBC are best at this for me, Jenas Richards Keown etc Jamie Carragher should be confined to Liverpool TV. He can’t help being Scouse through and through, but why do they inflict him on the rest of us. Will he ever say anything objective and meaningful?
I have never understood why people need someone else to tell them what they can see with their own eyes or to analyse for them a game they have just watched live or on TV. I do not listen to matches on the radio so can't comment about radio commentators. I prefer a live game as generally you get more common sense things said by fans around you than you do by very poorly informed commentators and pundits. I exclude form this comment the morons who sit behind me at St Mary's and who have virtually nothing to say in the least complimentary about our payers or manager. If you want a comment about pundits then Alan Shearer must be the worst pundit on TV. He does very little research and says nothing in the least insightful.
Lawro's continuous use of the phrase "at the mewment" (and the way he says it). Plus the amount of times he will say "pace" during a match too.
One of my pet hates is "He's the last man, he's got to go here". Last man means nothing if the foul happens on the halfway line or out wide or inside the penalty area. It's denial of an obvious goal scoring opportunity you ****wits.
The hypocrisy of “he was entitled to go down” because he is a player in a top 6 team, followed by “he went down too easily” when the player is playing against one of the top 6.
`Bloggs is starting on the bench this afternoon`. If he`s on the bench then he isn`t starting - duhhhh!
“It’s hard to believe that this triple-Champions League-winning Southampton side once lost a match 9-0.”
I love the commentary on the radio, particularly 5 Live and the elucidation of Alan Green. John Murray is good as well. The beauty of radio is the capacity to create an ongoing picture in the mind.
He's a Linfield fan, and is proud to say it as it was his first football experience. He may or may not be a Liverpool fan, but when watching Thierry Henry he was in seventh heaven.
Any player who is said to 'win a free kick/penalty'. I was going to ramble on, but I won't. This time.
