Said this for ages. Injuries have not helped him but I could never work out why he's always considered back up
Watched it this morning. Thought we played okay. Much more time on the ball than against Chelsea and we were the better side most of the game. Thought Longstaff had a very solid game as did Clark and Joelinton.
Make no mistake we where the better of two very **** sides. Having said that there is about 3/4 ****ter sides than both teams in the premier league.
We'll easily stay up this year. As will Palace. At least there is a glimmer of hope of getting the the league cup final. Imagine if that happened and we couldn't go!
that's exactly how Bruce starts his sentences - how uncanny Stevie B what are your Job prospects in the new year ?
Well look we've done OK, but make no mistake you're only a result away from disaster up here in Newcastle and that's the nature of this what crazy world we live it today ... I don't read social media and all that nonsense, but if we can go an and improve it then we will if we possibly can of course
Well after watching 87 mins my food order was arriving, walked out just as Wilson scored so ran back in and watched the replay quickly then went to grab the food, guy took about 2 mins to get my order out the back of his car and walked back in to 2-0? Still exceptionally drab, backwards and sideways passing boring football though. Did not understand what Shearer and Morrison were watching on Prime? Better pressing, higher engagement and better play were not what I saw for the majority although saying that it was a ****e game between two ****e, toothless teams. What I did notice is that Bruce set us up DEEP, our CM's and CB's behind their strikers and our CF's pressing their CM's while defending so no idea where the pundits got their opinions from but 3 points were crucial and taken so while it was utter bollocks again, got to be happy with the win. Joelinton obviously needs a partner up top and hopefully we'll never see him up top on his own again but his assist for Wilson came from where I suspect he likes to play, out on the wing, but the chest/shoulder control to get around his players and then a nice 1-2 was class, lucky goal but could see what it meant to him after the game #buzzing for him. another 4/5 points from the next 4 games and I'll be confident we can stay up this year.
Always happy to eat some humble pie as long as the team are doing better than expected. Still maintain it's utter **** football but points are points no matter how you slice is so big up bruceyball (until the next game)
We definitely played better than last game but that wasn’t that hard to do. Joey had a decent game somewhere between hard working and average but he gave his all which again most players didn’t achieve last week. Darlow was MOM for me and played one of his best games that I can recall. Others worthy of mention were Wilson who just did what goalscorers do and Clark who was solid and dependable. Credit to Brucie as we did turn up and did look more comfortable on the ball. To counter that Palace were extremely poor. Is this really supposed to be the best League in the World? Heaven help us if it is.
