Can Gills get through to the 3rd round of the FA Cup for the 3rd season running?

NB: Just to clarify, as with the Sunderland replay last season, please predict what you think the score will be at the end of 'normal play'. So if you think that the game will be decided in 90 minutes, predict what you think the score will be at that point, if you think it will be decided in extra-time, please predict what you think the score will be after 120 minutes. If the game does go to extra time, then I will use the score at the end of this period as the score for the prediction league, regardless of what the score was at the end of 90 minutes, or what happens in any penalty shootout.

 

Gills 2-3 Exeter (Dempsey,Graham,Jay,Bowman)

 

This is a toughie, Exeter were 13 games unbeaten until Oldham came back from 1-0 down at their place to win 1-2 on the 21st November. Only 3 days later Exeter are stuffing Colchester 6-1, that win leaving Exeter 5th in L2, one point off an automatic promotion place.

Their record shows they clearly know how to score goals, with 26 goals in the league, I believe that might be the highest tally in all four leagues.

So a tight game and who will hold their bottle, or get that stroke of luck you sometimes need in the cup. I'm going to go 2-2 and decided on penalties.

2-2 (Dempsey, Samuel) .............decided on penalties, for which I will leave in the hands of the gods.

I am worried about this game, Exeter have a couple of fast players who could tear our defense a new one.
I will stay positive and predict a win.

Gillingham 2 v 1 Exeter(Graham, Oliver, Randall)

 

I saw what could be a slight comeback in our last 2 games, think we had some luck as well.
Exeter 31 goals in their past 14 games. I know at a lower level but we are at the bottom of our division and they are in the upper parts, of theirs. So the divide is possibly close. Or not.
FA Cup games are there to be blown apart for the lower teams.
If we are to get something out of this weird season we need to win.
We have in this weird world a HOME advantage, NO supporters.
They can score and we seem lately to just nick a result.
I will go for a win but just.
