Thought our midfield were so good on the weekend, just non existent tonight. Essentially the same personel

 

Rhys Williams just stopped defending for their second goal. Shame, he’d not played too badly up till then.

Bobby and Jota to shake it up and get us back in this game

Hopefully....

 

Jones has been non existent tonight, I thought he would come off for Fab with Widji going further forward like he does for Holland. Always think it best to start your strongest team and if you get a couple of goals then take players off for a rest. Now we have brought players on who have to go flat out for the rest of the game to try nd get back into it, that is when you get the muscle injuries.

 

Think we've seen the limits stretched to breaking point of juggling the team.

Balancing act to be sure and not a lethal misstep... if it gives a few some rest , a few others one more week of rehab....

 

Problem is, were a couple more injuries away from season falling apart. Can’t start strongest teams every game. Can’t have any complaints, players just not been good enough today.

R Williams is young and will make mistakes like he did for second goal. Jones has been really poor tonight. Origi non existent. Need your fringe players to play at a decent level when given the chance and today just hasn’t happened against what is a very good team who had a massive off day when we played them in first game.

 

At least with the big win, we’ll be above them on h2h. Just need to draw or beat Ajax and be sorted

 

To be honest, im not to arsed about the result, 3 points from the next 2 games and its done.

Origi has annoyed me, as has salah.

I'm unsure why it took the subs for everyone to suddenly want to close down. Midfield has been dreadful.

 

I tend to agree but then our best players will play flat out whatever the minute... why I joked that in hindsight you wouldn't have bothered bringing them on at all but then that's not a Klopp attitude either?

Hopefully get through it without injury and move on.

 

Maybe everyone slagging off firmino now realises what he brings other than goals. He sets that press, he links the play. He’s far more than goals. Origi could score twice as many as firmino over w season and wouldn’t be as useful

 

We attempted the close down first half.. even Origi but he's not built for it, knows it and gave up... he'll always be a hero but he's very far down the list now.

Salah... not looking excuses i just don't know? Did he show any symptoms or just a positive test?

 

Firmino is a class act! Love him... if I was a girl I'd have his tattooed babies....

 

Don't be silly lad everyone knows what firmino brings, but he's been way off the pace of late.

Its not pressing of the defence thats been missing, its getting close to any of their players. They've had by far to much of the ball all game, but that has come down to us being undone by not being able to keep hold of it.

To be honest to many issues to list tonight, weve been bullyed, out fought and outplayed.

I'm not going to pin it on one player. I truth I can't be arsed, we will get these results over the season.

 

We have been too casual.

just think that in situations like tonight teams go out in a play safe mode and can end up not playing at all .

 

Played like we weren't bothered - right to the end.
That pisses me off, tbh.

 

But it puts us under pressure that we don't need.

 

Very nearly as bad as the Villa performance. Lost count of how many times we have the ball away under no pressure. Plus poor all round I'm afraid and as saint says, puts us under needless pressure
