Swansea City v Sheffield Wednesday Competition - Sky Bet Championship Date - 25 November 2020 Kick off - 7.45pm Venue - Liberty Stadium Following their deserved 1-0 home win against Rotherham, next up for Steve Cooper’s Swansea squad is another home match, this time against Sheffield Wednesday. Last Saturday, the Swans secured a third successive home win over a blunt Rotherham United thanks to Matt Grimes' first-half goal. Grimes claimed a first goal of the season as his speculative effort went straight through goalkeeper Jamal Blackman, who endured a tough afternoon. Jamal Lowe and Jake Bidwell were both denied by last-ditch blocks as they looked to add gloss to the scoreline. Rotherham saw a late penalty claim for handball by Ryan Bennett turned down. As a result, the Swans rose to fourth in the Championship, two points off top spot, while Rotherham are 19th. Whilst the Swans were beating the Millers, Tony Pulis' tenure as Sheffield Wednesday boss started with a defeat at Preston, as he saw his new team have to play for more than 70 minutes with 10 men. The visitors had Josh Windass sent off after 17 minutes for a dreadful high challenge on Joe Rafferty. Tom Barkhuizen gave the home team the lead with a well-hit volley after Owls goalkeeper Keiren Westwood's punch clear dropped to him 16 yards out. Wednesday pushed for an equaliser but struggled to create any clear chances and defeat means they remain second bottom of the Championship. The Swans have played the Owls on 33 occasions, winning just 8, drawing 12 and losing 13. In the corresponding fixture last season, played on 5th July, the Swans ran out 2-1 victors thanks to goals from Rhian Brewster and Andre Ayew: Turning to Wednesday evening, I’m going for another 2-1 home win for the Swans against the Owls, and making it 4 home wins on the bounce.
New manager for them, Pulis sides are difficult to breakdown and will probably try and bully us like Rotherham tried. They will focus on set pieces?

He will set them up to take a point and try and catch us on the break. We are good enough to get all three points If we put our chances away. 2-0 to the Swans
Thanks Taff. Like your positivity 55282...another winnable game even with Pulis in charge if we take our chances...2 nil Swans
We can't judge Pulis' first result as they played with 10 most of the game. Like Glam said though, I think he'll set up to be tight and hope for a break of some sort. We should really win this, so I'll say 1 - 0, fingers crossed. I have a sneaking suspicion this could be a frustrating 0 - 0 though. Hope I'm wrong. A win would be amazing to keep the confidence high, it's been a great start.
Many thanks again for the excellent foreword @Taffvalerowdy Like others have said, Pulis’ sides are difficult to break down (long ball, 4-4-2, no nonsense, scrap for a point). That said, I’m also hopeful of scraping 3-points given the home advantage - Owls down in 23rd too. SWA 1-0 SHW
