Bit unfair to single 3 out. Great team performance, and fair play to McCann again for finally getting it right.

Early days, but if this squad, and the youth coming through, can be kept together to continue developing, then with clever additions along the way, we just might be on to something special. Even more so when so many clubs are going to be struggling financially. Or, will the club sell when the decent offers start coming in.

It’s a tribute that he was at the Mackem’s from academy age to joining us. He could have been born in Carlisle - he was coached and developed in Sunderland.

It’s very unlikely our owners will sell off any of the most talented players. Not in their MO

Small change so far for prior, wasteful incompetence. Maybe he's found his level after spaffing the previous recruitment with actual money to spend?

Bloody hell! I agree with G E Evans. Though you could have had a fair few permutations tonight and they would all have deserved it. Not one bad performance.

Honeymonster - worth any three other players on the field. Can we keep him ??
Emmanuel- immense yet again. The revelation of the season.
Greaves - Another future Maguire. Well done management for signing him to LT contract.

When McCann took Honeyman off to rest him, he put Coyle into the middle so that from a distance it would look like Honeyman was still on the pitch. Genius.

Yeah, who am I trying to kid!
We can only hope that they want to have a real go at it. Ego can be powerful.

Maybe the fans could have a real go at it and buy a pass or even pay for the game off the club? Rather than bragging about watching a stream.
We’re having a go because the owners have assembled a large squad that is clearly above the majority of clubs in this division. Costs money that.

Good post from a realist. I spoke to an old fella last week who must be in his late 80's, poor bloke can hardly walk, and I know him through our mutual support of Hull City. He asked if I had cancelled my membership, I told him I hadn't, he said neither have I 'the club need the money'. I could have hugged him. He first saw City play at Anlaby Road.

    I agree.
I happily pay for the club streams. More than happy to be paying. And good value for the few quid it costs.
    Lovely story that U.P.

Yeah. On pitch returns for money spent on fees and wages since Brucie left.

When Bruce left so did the extravagant transfer fees, in fact they stopped before he left which is one of the reasons he did leave.
I think the club has managed well since then, as a business under the circumstances. The relegation wasn't exactly what was planned, I would have thought, but financially the club are in a lot sounder shape then many and that is down to the recruitment at one end and the business dealings at the other.
    In my opinion.
