I’ve seen a comment on Charlton Twitter that LB had apparently said that Chuks Aneke will only ever be good for 30 mins in a game. If true, what’s the point ? Is there an underlying fitness issue ?

 

It would seem so.
A pity for the player and for us. I guess we'll just have to get the best out of him off the bench.

If Chuks Aneke has an underlying health issue that means he can never play anything like 90 minutes, I hope Lee Bowyer and the Club was aware of this when Aneke was signed - unless the condition only developed recently of course.
Frustrating though it is for fans, Aneke does have the right to confidentiality regarding his health, beyond footballing injuries.

 

I do hope theres a bit more urgency tomorrow.
Get at them a bit more and get the ball in the box a bit more.

If the second line is a dig at Elfs, it's a pretty low blow (and not for the first time).
I can't stand it when one Charlton fan accuses another of not being a Charlton fan at all, just because their views on something are different.
I only ever made that accusation myself once, years ago. It was wrong of me and I promised myself I wouldn't ever do it again.

Question anything about a fellow fan's character, but to say he isn't a fan at all is out of order in my opinion.

 

Confirmed by Bowyer again that Aneke is going to be used sparingly in 30 min bursts. He feels that’s the best way to use him. In other words, he’s not fit.

 

I have only seen Charlton in 7 countries and at around 145 grounds over here.

You've got to laugh really - in the sane article Bowyer says the medical department haven’t seen Aneke for 5 weeks and they mentioned its the longest they have gone without seeing him @The mighty Elfsborg referred to him as a David Fairclough - type super sub, although in Chuks’ case it sounds as if it’s through necessity.

But if you really can't stand one fan digging out another, maybe you could have stepped in on ITTV when Elfs started a campaign to get a partially sighted autistic women living a long way from London banned from ITTV for not attending matches. ffs, Dick Plumb, Reames, Ashaddick, squareball and one other begged him to stop, but he didn't. Cruel doesn't even come near. His last statement on that thread was this: I have a genuine excuse, I'm a boycotter.
