Good Morning. It's Tuesday 24th November, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Fans to be allowed back into stadiums in England at end of lockdown It is understood that the Department of Culture, Media and Sport have submitted proposals to the Cabinet Office for spectators to attend games in areas where coronavirus infection rates are low. If successful, once lockdown is lifted on the 2nd December, we could see fans back at Elland Road, but only a small percentage! Stadiums in tier 1 (which include Leeds) will be permitted to hold up to 4,000 spectators; grounds in tier 2 can welcome up to 2,000 fans; grounds in tier 3 must continue to hold events behind closed doors. Outdoors stadiums in tier 1 areas - deemed to be medium risk by the Government - will be allowed to hold up to 4,000 socially-distanced fans or half of their maximum capacity, depending on which is fewer. Once restrictions are lifted, how is it worked out who should be part of the 4000? please log in to view this image Leeds Offered Chance to Sign Barcelona’s Ace on loan Leeds are one of several sides who have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona central midfielder Riqui Puig on loan for the remainder of the season. The talented 21-year-old is seen by many as one of the brightest in boss Ronald Koeman's squad yet the former Saints Manager has only used the youngster once this season, a three minute cameo role! Puig's agent is keen for his client to progress and has had conversations with RB Leipzig,Monaco and Leeds about a possible loan move in January. Bielsa's possession-based style of play is seen as the ideal system for Puig to showcase his skills, but there are several other English sides in the conversation for the 21-year-old's signature. please log in to view this image
Morning, No way will Puig be coming to Leeds. He'll be needing to go to a club where he's guaranteed first team football, so it won't be here. Plus he won't be up to speed till March. It's a move that wouldn't benefit him, Barcelona or Leeds. If he's really that good though, sign him on loan with an option to buy.
Morning all. If he's really that good, that muppet Koeman should play him. As for the limited tickets, I think the boat people and all the ethnic diverse types should be offered them first.
Morning all i got wind of this last week as Gattuso mentioned him in an interview and I had never heard of Puig before. Fatty Gattuso said he would love him at Napoli but believed Marcelo Bielsa was in the frame? So I did some digging and discovered that Barcelona are on the verge of real internal problems. They have hoovered up some of the worlds best kids and put huge release clauses on them but none are getting a chance to play. There is one 17yo with a release clause of £400m there are plenty of kids top European and Prem clubs have been chasing with no luck..... so far. Riqui Puig has an agent who is now going to war with Barcelona as Koeman isnt picking their own kids. Puig has played 3minsand wants out and the feeling behind the scenes is that Koeman goes or expect rebellion. Puig is 21 now and hasnt played for his club and has had enough?
Fans wont be allowed at ER, Anfield, Etihad, OT or in any of the northern Covid hotspots. As a regular attender, watching Leeds live has been a big miss for me as with my bowls but I've accepted & prepared to make the necessary sacrifices if it means our country returns back to the way it was pre-covid
If for arguments sake fans were allowed back at ER, 2,000 or 4,000, how would the tickets be allocated?
Even only allocating them to the STHoders (which is only fair) would still mean disappointed supporters. In principle ST holders with the most unbroken renewals should get first dibs IMO.
They're the ones who keep going to the toilet so every 10 minutes 50 people have to get up and let them by ffs
4000 season-ticket holders for the first home game, then a different set of 4000 s/t fans for the next match & so on....
Apparently no chanting allowed at matches, can't see that happening with Leeds fans That knee protest needs to go, they have made their point enough is enough Anyway I still can't see fans allowed to attend in Northern covid hotspots
