    'They played desperation football' ?
Perhaps they should have concentrated on playing Rugby League ?

There's been a few recent seasons when FC have had a more than capable squad that should have at least reached a couple of GF's. The problem was Radford, he was a very limited coach who also had major issues with squad unity. For someone who was reasonably trigger happy as City's chairman, the fact Pearson held onto him for so long was utterly baffling.

There is an FC forum you could discuss these things on. The mod is so proud of being from Hull and supporting his local club he is a Leeds United fan as well.

Actually, it is a Hull City forum. But we have people, some of who claim they are only interested in City if people mention anything about other clubs, but discuss games involving Man
Utd, Liverpool and other PL clubs.

For balance, my uncle once thought about applying for a job at Pilkington's which makes me a St Helens fan. <ok>

My old works car was full of St Helens stickers - my explanation to my FC supporting family that you were born to your football team and chose your rugby team was lost in an ironic haze to FC - Spurs & FC - L'pool 'fans'

I have heard FC fans say you are born to your RL team but your football team chooses you. How lucky for them that none of them were chosen by Rochdale, Crewe or Gillingham, isn't it?

The Early of Derby said the only other sporting Derby was St Helens v Wigan as they were at the opposite ends of the Knowesley Estate that was the family's. Don't see that going down well in some quarters.<laugh>
