A new company takes over every time we're sold, that's different to taking over an other teams league position, and then renaming them.
As I posted in the MK Dons thread: Ipswich will be our biggest test yet - they're 2 points behind us and whoever wins is then top of the table at the end of play. They have a 100% record at home this season and have only conceded 1 goal at home all season (a penalty - and we don't get those!) They have a few injuries thankfully, but sounds like a few of them came back on Saturday and a few more (including their top scorers) will be back on Tuesday night. A friend of mine is an Ipswich fan, and from what he's said they like to play the ball around at the back, so we'll have to be on it with our pressing game from the off to pressure their back 4 into making a mistake, which based on them only conceding 1 at home all season will be difficult to do.
If we are talking about Hull FC ? They transferred Gateshead Thunder's franchise to Hull. Hull FC as a club was wound up to enable them to do it. For the first season or so the official name, but one never used in the media, was Gateshead Thunder trading as Hull FC. It is the rugby league equivalent of Wimbledon moving to Milton Keys and becoming a new club.
It will be a tough game this, possibly our toughest test yet. Let's just remember....if we win, we aren't definitely going up! And if we lose, the season isn't over and let's not all go calling for grants head on a stick
Managers get far too much of the blame when things go wrong and far too much of the credit when things go well - Sir Alf Ramsey.
Tough one to call this one, a lot will depend on how we recover from Saturday. I'm not privy to the stats but would expect that the Saturday game took a good bit out of the players, as the game was played with some intensity. Having said that this 5 subs rule can certainly help, as you can tell certain players to give their all for 60 minutes and then make a change. Maybe see Scott start on the left if KLP is not ready, other than that, unless he brings in Doc for Jones, though personally, I would stick with Jones.
100% home record up for taking off them? Shouldn’t need anymore motivation. This game requires energy, closing down space and patience.
Some people just love to talk about rugby don't they ? Anyway I've gone for a draw in this one which wouldn't be a bad result
That was why I stopped playing rugby. The coach kept telling me good try, good try...Got sick of waiting for a well done.
They’ve got injury problems, their fans aren’t as confident as they were and think their record will come to an end. Let’s oblige.
