It’s like putting a tenner on us to win. We go 1-0 up so you stick another fiver on. Then Max power gets sent off just before half time. You can see the way the game is going but it’s the 75th minute, your cash out is on £17 so you cash out £12 and let the last £5 ride in the hope of making a tenner.

We will have to wait and see but I can understand people worrying that this takeover looks more like Madrox turbo (taking the knackered old 1.3 litre Madrox and strapping on a turbo) than selling and buying a Ferrari.

KLD and Sartori will have to show us that this is significantly different despite looking very similar on paper.

Agree with that mind. Said all along, the appointments they make will be massively important. Probably pie in the sky, but let's just say they come in, first thing they do is get rid of Rodwell and Parkinson and appoint allardyce as DoF, and get Pearson and manager with Phillips as assistant, that's instant acceptance and reason for optimism. Or a Marwood type to run the club day to day, a decent DoF and Poyet if they want to go a different way. Something showing that mediocrity isn't accepted any more and that they will put their money where their mouth is to get the best we can. Tin hat on, but if they come in and say they want everyone to have a chance, keep Rodwell and Parkinson, then I'll be massively disappointed and it would take a lot to convince me that it's a change for the better. I think they'll do nearer the former mind, obviously within the limitations of who will actually agree to join whilst we're in this league

There is a huge irony the day Donald and Methven took over.....Methven said in a very meaningful tone that the“piss-taking party is over”..... Him and Donald have done nothing else since but take the piss. I pray that whoever the new owners are start as they mean to go on...Sunderland has been a soft touch for way too long, the club needs to run with an iron fist and by true football people and lets really mean it when we hear “the piss-taking party is over”

It was funny for a while, but now it's just pathetic.

I think that was well intentioned. The club has been a piss take for several decades but I think they quickly realised that no-one comes or stays unless you offer them piss taking money.

Thats why the academy at Sunderland has to be successful to save us having to pay mercenaries.

The actual phrase may have been well intentioned. It was poorly thought out and even poorly executed though. It was a sound bite that has come back to bite him on the arse very badly.

Presumably Storey and Trump meet often when they go to the clinic for their medication.
Imagine what they would be like if they were off their meds

I can't wait to see what he tweets when the deal is complete, the club is in someone else's hands and it becomes crystal clear, even to the gullible, he's been lying and piss-taking all along!

The biggest mistake they made was to think they had control of players wanting to play for us, they were playing poker like they had a royal flush and instead were sat there with a pair of 2s. They thought players would crawl over broken glass to play for us and we've ended up with players who would because no one else wanted them.
