That loss leaves them one place, and 2 points behind us, in 19th place. Their joint top scorers this season are Crooks, Barlaser and Lindsay, with 2 goals each. I was encouraged by all but the first few minutes on Saturday. We played some nice football, and deserved a draw which without the lapse of concentration in the opening minutes, could have been a win. Going into Tuesday night, I have glanced at the table and there is an opportunity, with a win, to potentially move up to 10th (even 9th with a win and big swing in the goal difference). It is certainly a chance to get three points that will move us further towards the solid mid-table pack, and stop us from having to keep an eye over our shoulders at the lower end of the table. I'll add team news tomorrow/Tuesday, but wanted to get the thread up before the week started, and give you all time to point out obscure players from the 1930's, 40's, 50's etc...who have played for both.
This is one of those games which shine like a beacon on the fixture list. A beacon which says ‘stay away’. Cheers Dave.
Dont suppose there will be many that played for both....Dominic Ball and Dexter Blackstock spring to mind.
Last season we were hoping for a win towards the end of the season as I recall and we lost. Hope not another banana skin.
Good luck tomorrow. You should win this. We played them in the first game of the season and after controlling the game for 90 mins, they nicked it in injury time. Our goalie had nothing to do all the game, except pick the ball from the back of the net. I had them down as a relegation team based on their performance that day. We are 4 points below them because of that loss so it would be a big help to us (little Wycombe) if you get all 3 points
Obviously no fans travelling to the game...but why is kick off at 7pm? Still means lots of people (myself included) will still be at work for most of the first half. Is it just a more convenient time for the players/staff? Also, still no team news on the official site...anyone know of any injuries/suspensions?
It's up to you Jeff for the pictures I have been sent to Christchurch by work for three days and they told me to keep all my receipts so I am currently drinking guinness in an Irish bar in riccerton and won't be able to post em
Good work as usual Dave. Agree with others in that these are the games you expect to win and they turn you over. Let's hope we are wrong.
;Hope we can enjoy a comfortable win. Surely we are due ........................ and don't call me Shirley.
