It would not make any sense for them to employ Pochetino. Pochetino got sacked and replaced at Spurs by Mourinho who himself got sacked at the Manchester club. Now Spurs are flying with Jose. Why would they employ someone who is worse than their previous manager?
I may have mentioned this before but I have A LOT of Man Utd fans at work They seem to want Rodgers ???? I thought probs more someone like Tuchel I don’t actually think they are that far off Think I have said this before too I think they need to move Pogba on - the guy is clearly world class but clearly not up for the fight at Utd imho I think the stranger decisions at utd are coming from trying to get him into the team utd seem to have learned their lessons with signings in the main tbh I have no idea lol
Work ethic is part of what makes a player. Bad attitude means nowhere near world class imo. I've no time for players who can't be arsed.
That’s fair - when he plays with France though his attitude is spot on We don’t know what is going on behind closed doors I don’t get what’s going on there tbh but I am not that fussed Got our own issues lol Was just talking late night stuff with Diego
Totally agree. Ideally, you want the player to have good work ethic as well as being a great talent but I'd never go for the latter over the former; work ethic is a base requirement imo.
EFC now 2-1 up. 2nd goal was a good one, but VAR check showed Calvert-Lewin's hand and wrist in an offside position the goal still stood. When Bamford pointed to where he wanted the pass the other week his resultant goal was disallowed because his hand was in an offside position. VAR would be excellent if it was consistent, but currently is a bit of a farce.
Nah it’s measured by your sleeve. Bamfords sleeve was offside. Can only be off if a part of body you can score with is offside
Bill Shankly once said "Football is a simple game, made complicated by idiots". God knows what he'd make of the current fiasco. They should just stop ****ing about with the rules every five minutes. It worked perfectly well before, the only issues were human error -and that's something that hasn't been improved upon at all. VAR hasn't reduced bad decisions, it's just taking longer to get to them. One step forward, two back.
Agree but hopefully it will get better. Rugby seen to get it right most of the time. Standard of refereeing in Premiership is not good enough, it’s not VAR
But it is VAR, to a degree at least. Can't blame the technology, it's an inanimate tool - but the system is fundamentally unsuited to the task it's applied to. It's not precise enough to judge the fine margins expected of it.
This is spot on. The thing is, if it wasn’t in we’d still be moaning about issues before it’s existence.
Is there a rule about players having to wear shirts of a certain 'fit'? If not, I wonder how long it'll be before clubs introduce skin-tight shirts (similar to the rugby union international ones) so that loose sleeves aren't an issue with VAR. Crazy implementation of the rules when goals can be ruled out because of a damn sleeve
