Those highlights don't really reflect the balance of the game.

That's not highlights - it missed our 37 penalties!

It looked like the right position to take in the third minute in all fairness Trammie.

It took the EFL show until 9 o'clock tonight to come to the conclusion that Cameron was penalised for blocking the Watford defender immediately before Barbet had his shirt pulled off his back....... it's the sort of thing that happens at every corner and is never blown for a foul......

When the team was announced, it appeared that some on here had thought it was 3 points down the pan. Players on international duty forced MW's hand - and going behind after 3 mins didn't help. However, i think that the players that started and finished today showed that we have a fighting spirit and not a soft underside. Dare I say it, but it also looks as though we have a good mix. Im not saying we would beat the likes of Barcelona or Madrid or Man City, but we are definitely on the right path. I was gutted when Eze, but if we give Chair the same time and support we could have another gem of a player in our ranks. Not going to forget those that do the donkey work in the team to allow the flair players to perform.

That second half was among our best performances this season. Watford undoubtedly have one of the best squads in the division and are well among the front runners and yet we dominated possession and chances in the second 45. If only our kamikaze approach to set pieces hadn't made an unwelcome return so early in the game. That plus the fact that we seem unwilling to shoot at the goal often enough are keeping us out of the promotion battle. Dieng continues to be a great find BTW.

Clives report - he seems to be a fan of Carroll, giving him MotM - don't recall much mention of him during this thread...?

Chair presses QPR's point amidst penalty controversies - Report

Sunday, 22nd Nov 2020 19:52 by Clive Whittingham

QPR recovered from their latest shambolic early concession off a corner to dominate the second half and take a thoroughly deserved point against Watford at Loftus Road on Saturday.

I don’t know if you’ve heard, but it’s ‘ard this Championship lark. Saturday Tuesday Saturday Tuesday Saturday Tuesday.

Queens Park Rangers’ latest running jump into a 12-game, six-week assault on the senses and ankle ligaments could scarcely have been more difficult on paper, with Watford’s lavishly furnished, high-quality squad of 37 Udinese players in town knowing a win would take them back to the top of the Mercantile Credit Trophy table. In Rangers midfield, 76-year-old Geoff Cameron, struggling a bit now the nights have drawn in and the cold has got into his joints. In Watford’s, Etienne Capoue, seven full caps for actual French France.......

And how the hell was that not a penalty for the shirt pull on Barbet?

He definitely got better as the match went on peaking with that very nice cross for Dykes to weirdly slap into the goal.

Often he’s terribly weak in the tackle given he’s built like a small girl and can’t impose himself on a turgid Championship slugfest at all but in the deeper midfield role with more creative players like Willock and Chair ahead of him he’s much better. It probably helped that Watford sat back rather bizarrely to protect the 1-0.

Apparently his physical stats in terms of distance covered and the like are very good which we won’t see so much not being at the match.

Since the start of last season, QPR have won 24 points from losing positions - more than any other current Championship side.

From QPR fan Jack Supple who does the stats for Opta Joe.

That's a tad unfair. I thought it was three points down the pan before the team sheet was announced :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Catching up here, just watched the full Watford game and was impressed. If we only had a striker to get onto all the half decent crosses thrown in we'd have taken all the points. Cameron and Carroll both had great games, made many excellent defence opening passes, and Watford's attacking threat was more and more stifled as the game went on.

I wouldn’t bother with the second half against Rotherham.
