He's beginning to look sharp, think we all forget that he's only 20 too. Always looked like he'd be a great signing but for the mid-long term. Great to see him knocking a few in, that's 3 for him this season in limited minutes.

I'm just pleasantly surprised to see how accomplished he looks with the ball at his feet dribbling. Tall players can often look clumsy when dribbling or running at speed but he doesn't. Bowen was shorter than Scott and looked more like a typical winger/insider forward when he dribbled inside to shoot. Not to get too carried away but Scott almost looks a young Ronaldo in his days at Sporting and United. Just the way he dribbles and cuts inside looks similar, and how he's good in the air and holds up play.

Just looked at the Championship table for the first time this season. Kin 'ell, how ****e are Wednesday, Forest and Derby doing? Brentford are underperforming as well.

He's a sensible lad. I imagine Derby were one of them, he'd be mad to go there right now, even if Rosenior is co-managing them at the moment (though as a defender he could do a lot worse).

In any case, they can **** right off.

Us to Derby: you can't have Greaves but de Wijs is available for £1 million

    Derby: agreed *gets relegated*

Haven't we recently signed up Greaves to a longer deal?

I'm not surprised at that, he looks a real prospect. Hopefully his dad will be telling him he needs games at this stage in his career. Ta for the info <ok>

As unfortunate it is how far Jordy has fell down the pecking order, he's only himself to blame. When you compare him to our current options and centre-backs we've had in the past recently like Dawson, Davies, Maguire, Chester, Hobbs, Faye, Bruce, McShane etc. he doesn't compare to them. Those defenders were composed whereas Jordy is jittery and whilst he gives his all, every time he plays I get nervous. The Burke-de Wijs partnership never clicked but I can see a Burke-Greaves partnership developing really well.

Id be surprised if he wasnt being scouted. He will have been all last year too. Realistically though, a champ club wont be able totouch him, he's just signed a long term deal and if anything a PL club will come knocking.

With any luck, he'll be playing champ football with us next year, and weve seen over the years how much good young CBs can go for e.g. Mepham, Kelly, Konsa, Rodon etc

Reflecting on the game, a really good watch, and credit to them, as they were as good a side going forward as we have seen this season. Having said that, we did a job on them, and credit to Terry for that. Honeyman was excellent again, as was both Burke & Greaves. I also like the way Terry is playing Jones in away games as a 2nd defensive midfielder along with Smallwood, this gives Honeyman licence to pop up all over the pitch.

No one had a poor game, Wilk's worked hard, Adelukun is a bit hit and miss, KLP is missed on the left. Scott is starting to look like the player we hoped he would be, and Magennis was excellent, Emmanuel was very good again, as was Elder they got lucky with their goal, Emmanuel slipping and then Smallwoods attempted clearance falling for their player.

Dare I say it we are looking like a good side at this level, and like an earlier poster said, to not get a promotion will purely be down to ourselves as if we perform there isn't a team we should be scared of.

    This.
Re. formation and Honeyman. Yes, McCann has finally solved it. Took far too long, but he's got there.
We now have really good options on the bench too; something I doubt any other team in this division can match. And some promising talent coming up behind that.
    Fair play.

I know we are league 1 but this beats the hell out of the misery of the second part of last year’s championship. Keep it steady and auto looks good and play offs a must.

Sounded like MK were another typical L1 side who came unstuck. Starting to get a tad weary now of opposing managers complaining how they ‘ran the game’ ect after being done by City...but it’s an old ploy. Looking ahead everyone knows there are a string of clubs who could cause us problems but I see no reason why we won’t be in with a shout come April.

    Kudos to McCann.
