Have to say a Beaujolais Nouveau is a worthwhile addition and a reasonable price - I seem to remember Tesco doing a very good one, which I haven’t had in a while. Jumping up in price, but always good for a special occasion is a decent Barolo.

Sb ... definitely crack open a good bottle and saviour it while watching Mrs Sb dribble and sweat under pressure :emoticon-0102-bigsm . As you say, could get messy :emoticon-0140-rofl: , but hilarious.

My sons' 18th today, so he had the choice of anything he wanted....and chose takeaway from the restaurant he works in! It was bloody good though - I had Haggis Fritters for starter served with a mustard mayonaise dip, followed by Kathmandu Chicken with noodles - and still can't feel my tongue! Washed down with a big bottle of Morretti.

A decadent cookies and cream birthday cake to be delved into shortly....

Are the pubs closed your way Steels? For your lads sake I hope not, not on his 18th. Put a bin by his bed.

Yes mate, pubs all shut and no visitors allowed in the house. There is an odd clause where non-cohabiting partners can meet up, so his girlfriend has been round, but all in all a quiet one for him. We set up an indoor pub crawl, with the local pub names on the doors of the rooms around around the house and he's had a drink in them all! Think he plans to have an outdoor gathering around the fire in the garden at the weekend with a few pals, all socially distanced of course. It's been a pretty bad time for him and a lot of his pals who have all turned 18 this year - I feel there may be a very chaotic night ahead once all the restrictions have been lifted and they are let loose on the town. The bucket will definately be needed then!

It was my lad's 21st in August.
He couldn't do much either, although at least the restrictions were a bit lighter then.

    Have you bought yet?

This would be a hassle to drive around and collect, but a very nice mix for under £50

I'm struggling here a bit Strolls - most of these are coming up as Angel Exclusive, which I assume means I need to be a member. I only drink wine at Christmas so I won't be joining - any recommendations from their site that isn't an exclusive (the only one on your list is the Carbernet Sauvignon).

As I'm already a member, I'm not sure how to differentiate. I could try and place an order to be delivered at your address if you like?

A surf and turf pizza? That sounds heretical.

Also drinking a Picpoul, to accompany Cajun marinated chicken breasts, parmentier potatoes and rocket salad.

A tad different from the norm.......

Sliced beef and chicken, battered prawns, calamari, chilli tomato base, rocket, red onion and red peppers.....

    Certainly had worse......

Picpaul cuts through the various flavours and works well with it.....

There you go something new to try.....

An abomination. Sounds like something you’d get in a Dundee kebab shop, deep fried. I have no idea why you would put beef, chicken, prawns or calamari on a pizza individually, let alone in combination. Must be an Irish thing.
