Berwijn's started the game really well. Seems to hate City but hopefully he'll start performing against others too.

Spurs are playing like the away team. Need to get hold of the ball and retain possession.

Bergwijn had to be more aware, there. He had no idea Rodri was there. Should've shot first time.

Why has VAR referred that? It's hit his arm. It's clear and obvious. Still 1-0. Lucky.

Clear handball, rightly disallowed but Spurs are playing so deep too early

VAR got it right for a change, and Mike Dean. Wow

It’s too early for the VAR song isn’t it

Mourinho furiously scribbling away. As he should. We're too deep and inviting too much pressure. This is tough.

Playing in a typical Mourinho way tonight. Only problem is we aren’t that great at defending.

2 minutes of injury time, presumably for the unnecessary VAR check.

1-0 HT, somehow. Got the goal and then sat back and invited tons of pressure.
Lots of moaning from City, as usual. Lots of fouls whenever we break against City, as usual. No cards for it, as usual.
We need to do something a bit different after the break, as a lot of our players look knackered already.

Defence is doing well but we’ve got to improve our play when we do get the ball. We’ve been so, so sloppy in possession outside of the goal, a number of times we’ve had a free kick or are on a break and within about 3-5 seconds City are back in possession. We knew we’d have less of it but what we do have we’ve got to do better.

We have done well in the face of the onslaught from City but I don't think they are paying enough respect to Spurs attacking potential which hopefully will cost them.

We are being "schooled" by MC but we are the one with the goal…

Interested to see what changes we make for the second half.
