Do we not like Fleetwood? It's an easy one really isn't it as they are managed by Joey Barton and nobody likes him. So on that bases alone and with very few actual matches to go on it will have to do for a beating to be due.

In reality they are on very good form of late and this will be a very hard game to get anything from. I'm tempted to say I would settle for a point right now but then the Green in me kicks in and I really want all three. We could do with picking up our away form to match the home one and with the prospect of the next match not being any easier I think we might just sneak this one.

It is difficult to determine how true Argyle's league position is at the moment.

By that I mean how unbalanced our home and away played games are....out of eleven played....seven have been at home and only four away.

Although we are in the top half of the league....we still haven't won a league match away.

Of those away games AFC Wimbledon and Wigan I feel we should have won on paper.

The other two Lincoln and Hull I feel we would have been please to have got a draw from either.

The Lincoln game was a pre-match disaster....with Covid coming into the mix....meaning we had three regular first team players missing....so did it change the result...very hard to know if it made any difference to the 2-0 defeat.....the Hull defeat was by 1-0...could we have done any better ...who knows ?

So today is another hard away game... Fleetwood... they are on the same league points as us...but for what it's worth we have a game in hand.

So after today we have had three hard away games in our first five....that makes it very hard to determine how good we are away from home....and the one postponed was away to Accrington another difficult one.

Okay we did well in the Cup at Charlton....but they did make a lot of changes...although their team wasn't that bad.

The one thing that has helped us in recent games is the back three of Aimson, Opoku & Watts who have jelled into a reasonable defence.

Only one of those is an Argyle player Aimson....Watts we have for the whole season....but Opoku who came latish in the window has been great... at the moment we have him only to January....I hope that changes.

I've predicted a 1-1 draw...I would take that right now......having only ever played four times up there...I do believe if my memory serves me right that we have won once there....that would be great to do again.....I'll be watching on video link-up.

M Cooper, Aimson, Opoku, Watts, Moore, Edwards, Camara, Grant, Mayor, Nouble, Telford.

    Subs
McCormick, Wootton, Canavan, Fornah, G Cooper, Hardie, Jephcott.

Little bit of a change up front with Telford starting....and Hardie and Jephcott being held back on the bench....and in mid-field with Fornah on the bench.

Not entirely sure Hardie is being held back.... can't say he's playing as well as he can. Then there was that shot blocked v Portsmouth. It's harsh as he beat the keeper only for a defender to block it but an ex striker like Ryan Lowe might think he should have hit up into the roof of the net.

Losing 2-0 after only 10 mins. Both goals due to Camara losing the ball in midfield

Without doubt the worst 45 minutes I've seen from Argyle under Ryan Lowe. Awful.

This is where we miss a Sonny Bradley or Antoni Sarcevic.

    3-0...H/T.

    Camara and Aimson both off.

Being out-played by the smarter team.....no penetration at all.....who is in charge on the pitch ?

Fleetwood cruising at the moment....I honestly can see no way back for Argyle.....scaring me to death with all this passing around in there own half.

Even though Fleetwood in charge.....they are wasting so much time between goal kicks and throw ins etc....no sign of the Ref doing anything about it.

No Man of the Match I'm afraid.

Lowe obviously not happy either. Three more substitutions at half time.

Dodgy handball leads to the 4th, pathetic clearance from Byron Moore concedes the 5th.

    Shocking.

Well I was going to say my MOTM was Niall Canavan for at least getting booked. But now the idiot has got sent off thus thowing away the chance to reinforce a defence that was somewhere between shaky and useless throughout the first half.

So I'm going for the unused substitutes.

    5-1...F/T.
One moment from Jephcott....other than that we were a ragged outplayed side with no idea what to do....down to ten men in the end and it could have been more.

I would like to know how I can reclaim my £10....no one should have to pay to watch that.

Away to Peterborough on Tuesday.....guess what....I'm not going to go through that horror show again..

PS......I typed this after the match and forgot to post it.

Surprised with Ryan Lowe's starting line-up today.....keeping Jephcott on the bench and playing Telford from the start seemed rather strange.

I assumed Camara had picked up an injury coming off after 10 minutes....but Lowe said he wanted to change things and took him off and brought Fornah on....okay Camara didn't do too well during his ten minutes on the pitch.....but surely taking him off after ten minutes was rather extreme.

After 37 minutes he took Aimson off...and replaced him with Wootton.....surely Lowe only did this knowing he had five subs today.....and then put on his other three at half-time.

The worry is we don't seem to have a plan B when things don't go are way.....in fact being 2-0 down in 7 minutes seemed to have left us in shock and without any proper fight back planned.....Fleetwood to be honest were all over us and never really had to change gear... and scoring a third near half-time was the final nail in the coffin

I can't get out of my mind...how a team on a six game unbeaten run...turn into a clueless group of individuals who look as if they're resigned to being relegated whatever they try to do.

We're told about their great team spirit and camaraderie that they have developed under Ryan Lowe......it took 7 minutes yesterday to show that that is only skin deep and easily blown away.....not helped by Lowe panicking and taking off one of the successes of the season Panutche Camera after only 10 minutes.

Okay Camara might not of covered himself with glory in those 10 minutes...but to take him off denied him the chance of putting anything right...besides denting his confidence for the future.....this took away from Argyle one of the main players regarding Lowe's desire style of play....playing out from the back.....he was needed as a serious requirement for that out ball from the defensive third to the middle third of the pitch.

It became obvious... how painful it was to watch the defence trying to build from the back....sometimes with iffy cross field passes to each other that only got them retreating back to Cooper...who had to then hoick the ball down field to the likes of Telford who cannot be compared with being of any height stature at all.....result...the ball comes right back...and if we're lucky enough to regain the ball the painful procedure start all over again. You could see Nouble getting frustrated and causing unnecessary fouls....and near the end some of them hasd lost their dicipline and fouls became regular...which Fleetwood started to react to....and in the end Canavan ended up getting two yellows...and off he went.

So why did they turn into a team of no hopers....I think Lowe needs to take a large chunk of the blame....I can understand him having Hardie on the subs bench....he hasn't been pulling up trees recently....but to start Jephcott on the bench when he had just returned from playing successfully for the Welsh U21 team was completely unbelievable.....what was Lowe trying to prove.....I could continue but I'll end up too depressed....and I might rush out and go and play with the M25 traffic.

PS.....How can a club put up with listening to the Captain Pugwash theme every time they score....it certainly gets under the skin of away fans....good job there weren't any present yesterday.

Camara went off towards the end 2 (?) games ago. I wondered then if he'd make the next one, which he did, but is he 100%?

Fleetwood pressed us in our half and that puts a premium on a player in that CM role that can take the ball from the back 3 under pressure and keep it moving forward. He needs a cool head and good close control. Camara isn't that man. Fornah is closer to it but the best fit would be Mayor if he resisted the temptation to beat players. It's too dangerous there, all that's required is to turn and play the next pass.

It's amazing how people turn so quickly. Yes the show yesterday was pathetic and yes it was bound to make people angry. But, to go overboard as some are doing with the Private Fraser special cry "we are doomed Mr Mainwaring" is a little OTT for me just yet.

It was plain for all to see yesterday that we got bullied a lot of the time. Not in a particularly illegal way either. Fleetwood were very very street wise and you could see the influence of a certain Mr Barton. They niggled at us, left a foot almost in, moved the ball away from a free kick as often as possible, then the next player moved it a bit further and so on. They lay on the floor a bit longer than needed and pressed us higher and higher up the pitch. Very obvious that they had done their homework on us and executed it all perfectly. We on the other hand didn't have a clue how to deal with it. Then you need to look at the teams. Fleetwood is half full of very experienced players who know what they are doing. We are not. We had a number done on us yesterday and hopefully will learn from it. But, to start saying it's doom and gloom is just plain bonkers yet.

Agreed but something needs to be done about how we play away from home. Our record away from Home Park is dreadful.
