So the rumours today are that Ancelotti is interested in the Arsenal job, or the Spurs job when Harry takes over at England.

Should Wenger leave? Is his time up? How long does he have? How long should he be given?

Would you have Ancelotti in? Is he good enough? Is he the kind of guy you would like to see in charge?

It worries me that even a layman such as myself can see the glaring issues with regards to the club right now. And they don't require millions to fix, simply effective coaching.

  4. I know Mr Samurai has created a cyber saga ;) depicting an era of the Emirates beyond Arsene which features Snr. Ancelotti at the helm. I think he would bring in fresh thinking which is what we need and hopefully change for the good. That said, I also remember him with his blue mits unable to inspire his team as we won last year at The Emirates. These things happen, don't they and he did get Chelsea to 2nd spot having spent a 17 match stretch behind us and clinched the runner-up position with 5 matches to go. That has to count for something. My top choice though is still Gus Hiddink.

****, he would do a good job and all. People forget what he achieved at chelsea. With an aging squad he still managed to be second and not many points off United!

He won the double in his time there as well, and his football isn't defensive like Mourinho, it was fairly balanced, which is ****ing what we need now!

No friends, we need an all out attacking manager who gives no thought to defending or a plan B if our plan A has gone down the pan, anyone spring to mind?

How about Owen Coyle Robin? He seems to be showing Arsene Wenger pedigree right now. If we can leave a few well placed water bottles lying about for him and he assaults them with the right kind of vigour, he may well be our man!

  12. TBH Gunner I really don't know what to make of Owen Coyle. That he was a striker in his playing days may be just the talent needed to deal with those water bottles. I see that he has had some success playing the big clubs when he was managing Burnley. I must confess not having a preference here my friend but may I please throw another name into the hat? A man noted for principles with an excellent playing career enjoying success as a manager of a northerly club during which time he became the holder of a British record of 25 ( yes twenty-five ) consecutive victories. Loving husband and good father to two daughters. Martin O'Neill <ok>

  13. NOTICE: Would all AFC fans please leave Mr Ancelotti alone, as he is the firm favourite of Spurs fans, in the event that Harry takes up the England job. Thank you for your kind co-operation.

  14. So my friend, you want rid of Ole' 'Arry or just pleased for him to get the England job? <laugh>

I believe I read that Mr Ancelotti was interested in a management suite in N5 though the article did also suggest that he may consider a move further north or perhaps even to the northwest

  15. In all honesty, I think he'd be happy with managing either of our clubs, as I am certain that he'll feel he could do something with either of us. On balance, I think he'd prefer us, as our board are more likely to give him the money he'll need to make the improvements he might want.

    I could be wrong, though.

  16. You have money???

Given the relatively quiet participation in the recent transfer market I was under the impression this was a scarce commodity. Guess I must've been confused although Ole' 'Arry did buy well. Could be part of the commercial acumen he so wishes to deny <laugh>

    Only kiddin' amigo ;)

Yeah why not. Wenger for me needs to leave and Carlo is one of the top 3 people that can replace him. Hopefully Wenger goes in peace and we get Carlo to start the rebuild.

  19. Carlo won't - can't - come to you until you get rid of your current board.

You have no source or evidence to back up that claim. The current board have taken a hands off aproch because they feel Wenger can do it on his own. If he goes they know that new guy can't do the same so they will back him. Carlo has worked under some of the people at Milan and Chelsea, the guys on the Arsenal board do not compare to them.
