I’d pick the second formation you’ve gone for but Tielemans in Maddison’s position. Barnes, Praet and Maddison would rotate when necessary the two supporting roles for Vardy. That would be a really strong side.

Not sure about putting Castagne down as a LB - he is literally only played their 8 times in his career.

Justin has really impressed me in that role and I would argue that even when Perrerra is fit, only him, Kasper and Vardy are the only definites in our starting 11.

Well that was a mixed day for us. Tielemans (starring) and Praet helping beat England and Under scoring again. Mixed with the concern for Kasper Schmeichel. Not sure of the concussion rules for footballers but could be Ward in goal against Liverpool. Yet to hear any different but would hope that is the worst the injury is.

If we get no outfield injuries we have a good chance of getting something from the Liverpool game. They already have Alexander-Arnold, Van Dijk, Gomez and Salah out. Don't know if Henderson's substitution last night was tactical or not, but every little helps.

I was told that Robertson got injured for Scotland too. Not sure how serious it is though.

Probably to pull him out of international duty for the last game and get him back for Sunday, same with Henderson I’d guess

Kasper back in training with Denmark today and expected to play Wednesday, so should be fine for us on Sunday.

Robertson had a hamstring issue, haven't seen any updates of it's serious or not.

Henderson went off with a muscle issue, again I've not seen any updates.

Fingers crossed we can get all of ours through this weeks games without any further injuries.
Although there were 16 positive covid tests in the PL this round, hopefully none of ours.

Uncertain if any of our current injured lot will be back and available Sunday. Castange maybe?

My dog has a pawly paw and is a doubt for walks tomorrow...Medical check complete <cheers>

If we only win one more away game this season, please let it be this next one. Probably too soon for Ricky but it looks like we could be getting a few troops back fairly soon. Got to be good.

Although I'd love to win on Sunday obviously, even with their injuries - they've got a few players injured, not sure if you've heard <doh>
I still think they'll be able to field a strong and dangerous team.

Very good news that we've a number of our injured players coming back though.

What a total shambles. It was a tactical mess in the first half as we lost the midfield completely, and a total defensive horror show from start to finish. I hope Fofana hasn't been reading and listening to the glowing reviews about himself in previous matches and believes he's made it in the Prem because tonight he was the worst player on the pitch. He was constantly out of position and sold himself more cheaply and more often than an old tart. And worse still he never learned from his mistakes. Mane had him on toast. And it was the same with Robertson and Albrighton. His headless challenge for the second goal was plain ridiculous. Let's hope Castagne is back soon. I know I shouldn't say it, but I wish Barnes had played. What's that.........?

Pretty much on the money ... have to ask why we started this game with a back 5 against a Liverpool defence that had never played together? ... James Justin about the only one to come out of this game with any kudos ... Albrighton was dreadful.

Bubble well and truly burst. Never mind, dust off and go again. Two games a week for some time so this will soon fade in the memory.

Fully agree with Bucks. Never in the game at all. Barnes missed another huge chance and Kasper and Justin are the only ones who deserve to keep their shirt for Thursday.

It WAS a penalty for handball though, wasn’t it.

Very poor, a game too far for the patched up team (in terms of quality of opposition). Rodgers does seem to have an inferiority complex when it comes to Liverpool (and Man Utd but we will see if that changes Boxing Day).
I think it was clear that we were beaten before stepping foot on the pitch, that’s what I find most frustrating. We never even showed any intent.
Oh well on to Braga, Fulham and Sheff Utd. A good haul from those and we will be feeling all positive again!

Think you have to start Praet.

Maddison is great but doesn’t work with a back 5. For now, I think he’s an impact sub and what an impact sub to have.

I agree that Praet needs to start most games. He makes such a difference.

Brenda, please, please get Harvey Barnes on that training pitch and make him shoot continuously for about a week. If he could finish, he would be one hell of a player.

Maddison needs to stop sitting on his arse waiting for the ref to give him a foul!!!!!!!!!

Despite our great start (and it still is a great start) to the season, this is a free game to us, just like the Arsenal and Man City games and to come away with 6 points from 9 is an excellent return.

Hopefully Castagne will get some game time in Europe on Thursday and with a bit of luck, Cags and Wilf won't be too far behind.
