Annie Day 33/1 E/W - Wincanton 1.10. Dropping her back to 2 miles today. She has won a point at 3 miles and it was thought she would be seen in a better light the last day back up in trip after a good 15 furlong bumper run. That didn't work out well, she has a little speed and I'll give her one more go at a good price today. Karen's Gift 6/1 - Thurles 2.55. A saddle slip put an end to her last run and she was a bit keen through the race. Hopefully she will settle better today and she has the form and scope to do better than this mark. This looks like a useful race though so she will need to have improved. Cracker in prospect at 1.20 with Presenting Percy, Kemboy and Monalee all out. I am usually against Presenting Percy but this looks like one he can win if it doesn't become a slow run affair. Have a good Thursday folks.
Market Rasen 1.00 Catch Me If You Can Best run so far nearly a year ago when 2nd at Bangor. Comeback run after a break last time out (finished 4th) was promising given the fact trip was shorter than ideal. Will strip fitter today, should appreciate todays longer trip and a lot of stable's horses in the money recently. Races of career low mark this time. 19 out of 46 runners at Market Rasen finished in the money for Jeannie Candlish over the last 5 seasons (P/L 25.40). Hopefully Catch Me If You Can runs well for each way purposes.
Not a bad field for a listed chase eh? I hope Presenting Percy can get back to winning ways, it wasn't a bad run at Down Royal and he'll hopefully strip fitter today
Well done Presenting Percy and STH Great to see him back to winning ways, looks like Elliot has got his mojo back
All you golfing nuts on here that followed the four days of the Masters last weekend cannot have failed to be impressed by the all round game of SUNGJAE IM. Many or rather all of the top names are taking a week off now and IM is a 20/1 shot for the RSM Classic that starts today. Looks a must bet to me based on his form.
I'lll have a small each way on Relkadam in the 2.33 Market Rasen because Tim Easterby has smart stats at this track for each way purposes and Relkadam has run well fresh in the past. William Easterby takes off valuable 5lb. In the bumper Konigsberg was fancied on debut last time and was well regarded by Tim Vaughn in his stable tour at the beginning of this year. The booking of Adrian Heskin a positive in my opinion. At 33/1 on offer worth a small each way.
