This will kill off the small amount of atmosphere that is left in my opinion. The only area of the ground that makes any noise is the SW Corner, the majority of whom sit there because of the banter with the away fans.

Next season we will see these fans less inclined to sit there, ultimately spreading them out, for a few years until they migrate to a similar area, ultimately in the gods near the away fans. It will be a morgue next season and all because a few people dont like how it looks on MOTD.

Interesting decision, where will the SWC move to? those supporters need to be kept together, maybe the South Stand could become the next home end?? cheaper ticket price for adults to encourage the groups who want to sit together and get the atmosphere going?? I used to have a season ticket in the south stand during the Peter Reid years and the atmosphere was superb.

I must be getting old I really enjoyed the East stand against Stoke.

It'll be intresting but i do hope the atmosphere wont be affected. ill keep my seat in the South West still because its the best view i have had. if it all goes wrong and there is no atmosphere then Bruce will definitely have to go. X

I know this is completely irrational when we have such a wonderful stadium but these past few weeks I have really missed Roker Park.

Paying a fiver in as a 16 year old after getting tiddly on 3 or 4 pints in the New Derby to wash the pie and chips down.

Getting behind the lads throughout, twisting on a bit when we were poor, but still having an all round good day out!

Even if we were still at Roker Park I don't think you'd get in for a fiver.

Hope they get stuck up in the heavens.

Plus, its ok saying the atmosphere will worsen, a claim with which I agree to, to an extent. However quite a few clubs only bring a handful of fans anyway. So that in itself can create a relatively poor atmosphere.

But perhaps the most important argument for is why on earth do we give some of the best seats in the house right behind the goal to the opposition. Not only giving the opposition fans a good opportunity to cheer on their team but also depriving the home support of the very same.

Lets keep them out of sight and out of mind ey.

About time too. Why wouldn't the SWC not fancy going behind the goal. At Roker, both ends were home ends and it offers a better atmosphere imo. Having home fans behind both goals is long overdue as away teams get a boost to see their fans there.

    14 years overdue.

wonder were they will be moved to?

South West Corner I would imagine, get the home fans behind both goals, it looks so bad on the TV when you see loads of empty seats behind the goal

A wonderful, and long overdue decision.

My money is on a straight swap between the SWC and South Stand away section, thus keeping the atmosphere (Wolves is a great example of how this works, BTW), filling behind the goal, and also keeping the away section close to the police control centre and cells in the SWC.

Let's be honest re atmosphere, only about 5 ****ing clubs make a peep anyway!

    Ideal.

    I thought the song went;

"We shall not, we shall not be moved"

    Its too complicated.

Whoops never saw it, hoy this in there if you want.

Aye long ower due, I wonder what they are going to do about the need for holding cells, as this was one of the early reasons for not moving them, and the potential for stuff to be chucked down into the tiers below. Especially on derby day and stuff.
