Not minor if you kill someone doing double the speed limit.

I got arrested at the great anarchist insurrection outside the Fulham Greyhound in 1990. Cops never turned up at court to give evidence so it got dropped.

Mate and I got tugged doing about 130mph on the way up to the Isle of Man ferry. The V8 Jag only caught up after we had slowed down, said we'd call it 99mph for the record which meant a fine not a ban for going over a ton. Plod said they got a nick every time they went North, turned around and came back on the same stretch and did more bikers. Repeated it in the opposite direction once the TT races had finished and we were all on our way home. Made sure I kept on the limit on the way South a week later.

Nice little earner for the Stoke plod.

If it's traffic, they can always find something on your vehicle to give you a ticket for if you want to try being an arse. In general, if you play the game, they'll shift you on so they can go piss off some more deserving scrote.

A mates brother thought he'd be clever asking if they didn't have anything better to do when they stopped him for a dirty number plate. Had he thanked them and wiped it, he'd have been on his way, instead, he got a good long list of things, including fines and points.

I just remembered when I had one of my young ones in the her booster seat in the front of car. A police car had been following me for a fair few miles one evening before pulling me over. It seems I had a brake light out. Luckily, I had a spare lamp, so I thanked him, and asked if he'd check it for me when I'd changed it, as it's hard to press the pedal and see the light, which he happily did.

His mate was checking the car over, which was fair enough, but he was squinting at the tax disc. My young un gave him a proper mouthful as she thought he was staring at her. I remember 'pervert' and 'weirdo' being some of the words. I was trying not to let them see me laughing, and I had to calm her down. She's always been fiery, so it was a good job she was belted in to her seat, or she'd have been out and at him. They looked very uncomfortable. :emoticon-0100-smile

Plod like a bit of Yes Sir, No Sir. Makes them feel all the effort of squeezing into the uniform and stab vest was worth it if you give them a doff of the cap and let them think they are in charge.

Different story when you are holding a bloody axe in one hand and the head of an infidel in the other.

The last force to abolish the height requirement was the City of London Police

Was once pulled over for allegedly speeding in Stevenage. The cop said “this isn’t the World Rally Championship”.

there was that time when I was pulled over after just came out of pub car park because I didn’t have my lights on. Cop didn’t bother to check that I’d actually passed my driving test.

Was very young, not condoning such shameful behaviour.

'Faithless electors' explain their last-ditch attempt to stop Donald Trump.

On Monday, the 538 members of the electoral college will gather in state capitols across the country to cast their votes for the next president of the United States. With 306 electoral college votes under his belt to Hillary Clinton’s 232, that person will almost certainly be Donald Trump.

This year, at least eight of the 538 have indicated that they intend to break ranks with modern tradition and vote against their party in a protest directed squarely against Trump.
